Did this yesterday! Super easy thanks to this video! If you have a manual transmission...nothing blocking the driver side bolt...don’t have to drop the subframe or anything...make sure you pay attention to the left and right ball joints if you’re changing those. ( They’re marked)
Good video. I've got a creaking sound when I hit any kind of speed hump in the road. online searches say it's the control arms. Not looking forward to this job, but this makes it much easier to understand now. Thanks !
@@MrLordPablo Hey Pavel. Turned out it was not the control arms for me, but it was the top mounts of the suspension. Creaky noises from suspension are usually only a few things like control arms, bushes (probably number 1 thing) and top mounts.
I appreciate the video but wanted to add a few points. The VW spects require new bolts where the bolt torque requirements are "torque to yield" as well the torque specifications are to torque then turn 50 degrees. thanks, Jim

Unfortunately, we don't have any exact requested video for VW Passat B7 but we recommend to have a look at the general playlist for VW Passat B7: ru-vid.com/group/PLWep5LzT0sxmyqdSh187Su3I0Pd-Dh6oP
Thank you for the comment! You are right and sometimes there are constructive differences between the sides of the car part being replaced and that's why the procedure of replacement can differ significantly. We will take it into consideration in our new tutorials. Stay tuned and follow our latest updates. Best regards, Autodoc.
Because the Driver side is a bitch! Front bolt is blocked from pulling out. You have to drop subframe to do job. A blind monkey could do the passenger side.
You're handy, but don't overuse copper grease. You should use thread locker to tighten the bolt and nut. Copper grease on these areas are extremely dangerous.
Hey I have a question my left front driver side body basically is covering the top of the tire could it be broken strut ? Broken spring ? It’s only the left side every other part of the car sits normal
In general, the replacement will be the same for both sides, it is not advisable to show the replacement on both sides. More accurate information can be obtained in the technical documentation for the car or by contacting the service
Sorry but not, on the right side, when you work with a DSG gearbox car, you have lot of work to do, to remove the front wishbone bolt you have yo move the gearbox. It would be nice if you show that for people, will be helpfully. Thanks for your answer! 🇺🇾
Thank you for your comment! It all depends on the state of the lever, if outwardly it is whole and the geometry is not broken on it, then in general, only the silent block can be replaced. Best Regards, Autodoc team
When repairing the car, all the bolts must be tightened when the car is lowered to the ground, that is, all the silent blocks are in the correct position, and in order not to lower all the cars to the ground, for greater convenience, only raise the part that is being changed.
