Hi, I paste the link on CNA water heater video about 7:30. Most of my point will be inside the video. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Bp3mc6ycNWw.html 1) I believe wire 2.5mm2 is enough as the video show those storage tank heater. 2) For 漏电保护器 (RCCB), i think only need to press and see whether still have power send to the heater during trip. 3) The additional wire was done up by the previous installer to prevent any electricity passing through the water pipe. So i just use it, better to be safer😀
@@diyyangSG I think I forgot to mention, I’m intending to get a water heater, and they advise me to get >6mmsq for water heater at 8500W. As for the additional wire, stool not sure how it works. I just got my new bto, and electrical wiring is 5 wires, 2 blue, 2 yellow/green, 1 brown,. Do I need to use all wires for water heater? ^^
@@kellwx Sorry bro, i dont have experience on that but if it is 8500W, I think your heater Mcb for your bto is B20 (20A rating) which i think is too small for your heater. So MCB will be a issue too. With that power load I think is possible you need 6mm sq wire because is drawing quite a big power load.
I just check hdb website i think they only provide max load 40 amps for each house. services2.hdb.gov.sg/webapp/BN31AWERRCMobile/BN31SElectrical Not sure is better to diy for this case. Scare later your unit keep tripping. But if possible share with me your experience after the whole thing interested to learn on this too.

Hi bro. Hope I understand it correctly. For my video, there is 2 ways to control the water flow both located at the cold water side. One is the tap & second is the valve mounted on the heater
