HOW TO CHANGE Motor Bearing on Arrma Typhon 3s 

Glad I found your Chanel bro I was thinking my gear mesh was off 😭 but after hearing about yours randomly stopping sounds like my car has the same issue

What I have found is that the slipper will rub on the plastic housing creating a lot of fine dust. You can see it on your rotor where the covering is getting black. It gets sucked in through the bearing which gets clogged and overheats. Putting some tape over the mounting holes you aren't using on the motor is my first step. Second thing I do is place a washer over the shaft from one of those universal faucet repair kits. Those have a few rubber washers that fit perfectly and I just add a bit of glue or shoe-goo to hold it in place. My brand new Kraton ate the bearing after 4 packs, since sealing the motor it has been fine.

Are you going to seal motor up in places to stop dust?

Hey how's it going great video, off the subject kinda wanted to know what brand of tires are you running on it? Other than that I will keep an eye on my typhon when this problem comes into affect

Do you spray contact cleaner in motor and armature once removed to clean dirt off it? I’ve never done this before and my motor bearing exploded

I appreciate this vid man! My Typhon 3s recently started overheating too, just as you described. Hasnt seized yet tho, but ESC cut a few times and caused a couple crashes. Only thing I changed recently was 18t pinion. Was thinking that cant possibly be the issue, as ive seen many people run even bigger pinions with no problem. Regardless, i upgraded ESC & motor fans, but its still crazy hot to the touch. Ima tear it down and check the motor bearings. Willing to bet thats it. Thank you!

I'm trying to figure out what size of button screw on the cover of the motor that closes with 3 screws I lost one, and my motor was creating drag, and the cover was open.

mines not seized, or has any play, but i took it apart cuz it was making loud squeaks when i spin it. After spinning my bearings they spin smoothly, not sure why the squeak then?
