Thanks Le7halDose, for pointing that out... that’s an important step to do but I figured since I was 3/4 up the way on the measurement and then an added dab should make up for the discrepancy of the oil soaking through the engine on ideal running temperatures. Thanks for watching!
It takes 5.3 quarts of oil if you completely drain the system , 5 quart jug its appropriate for this job 17mm is the original size for drain plug but its smaller if it has been replaced.
Like how you dont say how much oil you used. If the car takes 4.5 quarts and then I read if its drained its 4.8 so the confusing part is when buying the 5 quart jug you're either gonna be left with .5 or .2 left of the jug and I dont want to waste it wonder 5 honda just didnt just use the 5 quarts. My first oil change I put all 5 quarts in next oil change idk which one I'm gonna do the 4.5 or 4.8
I would go and fill it up with 4.5 qt. Let the car run for at least 10 minutes. Let it sit for at least 15 minutes. Take a read on the dipstick and add if needed. Repeat these steps on every oil change. Never base off on how much you did last time. Oil usage and burn-off will vary a lot.
Albanian Fix.. well the oil level will let you know when to change it the Always recommend changing the oil at 15% oil life wich the dash will tell you where the oil percentage is at
It does not damage a Single thing and it’s very safe to move vehicle for about 3 feet. Keep in mind, vehicle is in NEUTRAL!!! No engine components are moving! Not only that but Do you guys really think the engine is completely dry when you drain the oil??? Let alone moving it for 3 feet? It’ll be one thing if the engine is Bone Dry but even then… there are a host of other “Precautions” in place already.
