The Kubota Manual on page 119 has a statement about changing the oil during the break-in first 50 hours. It's not very clear, but I confirmed you are required to change the engine oil and filter after the first 50 hours of owning the machine
Statement on page 199 is } Titled "Oil change in the run-in stage"
The lubrication oil plays a specific and important role
during the run-in phase of the machine.
The numerous movable parts are not yet run-in, so
many fine metal particles can be generated and may
cause damage and shorten the life of many
components.
Pay attention to the oil-change intervals and complete
them sooner than later.

I am a total rookie at this type of maintenance so excuse any mistakes I made. I try to correct it in TEXT when editing if I catch a mistake. The general maintenance for the Kubota SVL75-3 is not particularly difficult, but you do need to have the right tools, which sometimes I have... and sometimes I don't. I try to make note of what tools I use as the Owners Manual does not mention sizes for any bolts, nuts, etc. Even though I had a pretty large CRAFTSMAN socket set, it didn't have the proper oil plug sized socket, but 7/8 inch did work. Hope this helps you keep maintenance costs down.

It’s not too difficult. However during very first 50 hours of operation they requested an oil and oil filter change. Then after that it’s 250 hours. Thank for watching and commenting

Like your videos! Not a lot of videos out there on the maintenance and care of the 75-3’s. Possible to make a video on how you clean out the engine compartment? I want to make sure it’s clean after mulching for a few hours.

Thanks and very good suggestion. I am due for a good clean out but it’s been hot here in East Tennessee. It’s finally starting to cool down to “maintenance “ temperatures!! I want to do clean out and track tension video. I have nightmares of throwing a track off in the woods on a stump or log. Thank you for watching and commenting

I appreciate your video as I am due for my first change. Changing the oil in my tractor was a nightmare. I wasted about 2 quarts trying to fill it blind. The fill spot on it is down low but you have to have a long funnel to get around the loader support bracket and hood. It fills quite slowly as well.

The funnel is a Made In America product which I purchased at Rural King here in east Tennessee. I don't know how many stores they have around the country. The Kubota APP on iPhone shows a photo using an oil Pitcher, somewhat like a flower watering can with a cap. I think I may purchase one of those before my next oil change if I can find one.

@@ahbuildingafarm that was the same funnel I tried with my tractor. I ended up rigging something else but it was still a mess trying to fill it blind. Removing the dipstick helped with the rate but not the visibility. At least with the skid loader, I can see what I am doing.

I actually sent their APP team some feedback on one of the procedures where steps were out of order and they answered and fixed it in two weeks. I haven’t tried reporting problems with the paper or PDF manual yet. As a rookie I reread it before doing anything so I catch the illogical things. Thanks for watching!! Please subscribe
