Changing overgrip requires besides some skills... scissors. But most people don't have them in bag. There is this technique used by pro's, that doesn't require any use of tools. You can do it without cutting the overlapping part of the overgrip away. And there are benefits for this technique, too. Check it out.

After TS video I’ve tried it and absolutely in love with this method. And it is difficult for me now to hold standard handle. Two things need to consider: 1. Balance. More weight at the very end of handle. 2. If use 2 over grips, better way to have the lower level did in this way. And do the upper one in usual way. You’ll have less issues with comfort in the bottom and it is easier to replace 😊 I have a 1-hand BH, so I can have 1 XL over grip split in halves for 2 times. And yeah, scissors is a must have in a bag 😊 Enjoy your tennis! Thank you for videos!

After watching this on Tennis Spin, it's the only way I wrap my grip now. Also it's great for increasing your grip size by one size up - just don't fold in half and don't make 2 overlaps at the butt cap.

I think Gasquet and Thomas Muster did it the same way. I think I will try it. Both player have/had a really good one handed backhand. Maybe it helps in a way. Thanks for the video.

This is ok if you want to increase the flair at the butt cap, but not so much if you want to keep the integrity of your grip shape. With this method, there are a lot of extra bumps and folds at the bottom of the grip. However, I might try this on my Yonex racquets because they have very little flair.

I don't mind the bumps as they don't really matter during the play. Maybe it bothers aesthetially, but practically you don't feel them. The Yonex rackets have very rounded grip so this might help to gain some extra space to rest your small finger.

I follow tennis spin and seen that video but looks to complicated to do, why can't you wrap old grip to pack it out then do wrap as normal

@@CzechTennisGuy it just looks hard to do and then leaves it bit short at the end I was just thinking why can't you something under grip permanently to fatten end then do wrap over

@@andyv6299 Good point Andy. You can definitely do that by putting some older piece of overgrip permanently and then wrap it only 1x time.
