Thanks from Finland. Have an Avensis 2009. Best video ever. It´s so wrong in the manual, shows how to use a flat screwdriver and pull up from underneath, and I have already broken one lamp.

Anyway because the lamps were so stucked I opened up the cover on the inside of the backdoor, five or six white plugs to loose and took loss the cables and then it was easy to push out the lamp with the socket and a lot easier to change the lamp then in the garage. I did not have to remove the registrationplate.
