Okay so I know this video is old but I'm a female and I was just able to change my driver's side headlight bulb all my myself!!! I had no idea the windshield washer reservior could be removed so thank you for that! Seriously could not have done this without watching this video!!!
I was afraid I'd have to take my 2014 Malibu to a repair shop to get the headlight bulbs replaced. But after this video, and only having to shell out $32 at an auto parts store, I was able to replace them myself! You saved me a ton of money! Thank you so much! :D
Thanks for this video.....there's another guy with a video and he's removing the bumper and taking the whole headlight housing out. I knew there was a simpler way and this video is a simpler way.
Life saver. Didn't know the tube for the windshield washer fluid was detachable. Thought I'd have to remove the whole headlight. Done in not even 2 minutes in the parts shop parking lot. Thank you very much
First, thanks for the video. It helped greatly. Second, depending how big your hands are, you might need to remove the air cleaner cover on the passenger side and the power distribution cover on the driver side. Be sure to use gloves when handling the new bulb. Any grease will shorten life greatly. Again much thanks.
Sir you are a LIFE saver! Had 2 mechanics tell me that because I needed a bulb on the driver/battery side that I had to remove the bumper cover. One mechanic wanted to charge $80 for labor. Thank you for sharing. #singledadonabudget
Brother you just saved me $128 (Why would mechanics like to take advantage of others???) it took me more time to get the bulb from the store than to fix it my self .....Thank you ....Subscribed
The title needs to be changed to 2013-2016. This does not work on a 2012 which is the last year of the 7th generation Malibu. You still have to pull the bumper off partially to get to the headlights on both sides as there is no access from the engine compartment.
My 2014 malibu passenger side was a breeze to replace, but the driver side wires were SO SHORT I was barely able to pull the old bulb out. Absolutely no way to attach the wires after twisting the bulb in place, and the wires don't reach to the initial point of where I have to insert the bulb to snap it in. Anyone else have this problem?? Any suggestions??
I've been having this car for two yrs now. Didn't even know the washer fluid container come off.. but thank you for the easy clear way to change the bulb
