How to Change Spark Plugs in Mercedes-Benz C300 W205 W206 and E300 W213
In this video I show step by step process to replace spark plugs in Mercedes-Benz C300 W205 and E300 W213
- Let engine to cool down before removing engine cover
- Remove two bolts with T27 torx bit
- Pull out Spark Plug Connector and Ignition Coil pack
- Blow out any dirt and dust from the spark-plug hole using compressed air
- Using 14mm socket and socket extension remove Spark Plug
- Use both hands to keep socket and extension along spark plug direction - do not tilt
- Install new spark plug OEM spark plugs: NGK SILZKFR8E7S
- Spark plugs from the dealer are pre-gapped but you can check to make sure it is to specs for your vehicle (for my C300 0.8 mm/0.032 in)
- Finish tightening to your vehicle torq. Spec I'm tightening to 18 ft-lbs for my C300
- Apply Dielectric Grease to sealing lip of spark plug connector
- Reconnect connector and coil to spark plug and Reinstall 2 bolts. Finish tightening bolts to 10 Nm
- Repeat the same steps for 2nd and 3rd spark plugs. Before changing last spark plug I suggest to remove the following bolts to have more room to work with
- Reinstall distribution module three bolts and Reattach wires
- Reinstall engine cover

4:56 Finish tightening bolts to 10 Nm
6:13 Detach wires to have more space to work with
9:00 Finish tightening bolts to 10Nm
9:10 Reinstall three bolts
9:25 Finish tightening to 10Nm
9:29 Reattach wires
9:41 Reinstall engine cover
