Erin, I can not thank you enough for your kind assistance and response. I am happy to say you easily taught me something new and as I say to all tech people - pretend you are talking to your mom! I so enjoy learning about computers and all things techy. I had my IT department log onto my computer, and I had the font at 400%. It is now back to 100% If I get into trouble again, I now know how to troubleshoot, thanks to you!!!
Erin is really the best at tutorials, not only does she have a soothing, calm, non rushed, voice she is systematical, doesn't assume you know where to click, she 'shows you' where to click, doesn't crate additional questions, she answers them. Great job really, my default channel to go to when I need to know something in these areas. Great job!!!
Friday, March 3, 2023 Thank you, Erin! 😀 This is just what I was looking for. I read how to change the default font on the Microsoft website, but they left out the crucial step of - how to open the font dialogue box. A big thumbs up for you. 👍 And I am already subscribed.
⚠It's important to say that if you delete the Normal template to force Word to create a new one, Macros you've created will be deleted too, along with styles, since they are stored on the template. If you've spent time creating Macros you want to back them up and restore them later.
Thank you very much. I've changed default font, but to the Cambria. Unlike Calibri, which feels sluggish and weak and lame, font Cambria is beautiful. Cambria feels like a new Times New Roman. It is so beautiful and more sophisticiated version of Times New Roman. Cambria is such a beautiful font, and I have set Cambria as a default font on the Excel and PowerPoint. And I will avoid font Calibri (it is very simplistic and childish). Font Cambria is something that I will use when writing documents and other things.
What I wanted was to change the selection of RED for the Font Color showing when Word opens. I want it to be Automatic (black on white page). No way to do this I can find. Yellow is fine for the Text Highlight Color, but that would be good to be able to change for some too, instead of all of us having to change these every time we reopen Word.
When I write in the table the font automatically changes it's size when I shift from one row to another . Even though I have done the same method that you did but still it doesn't work. Could you pls help.

If you hover your cursor over the table and then select the handle on the top, left-hand corner (crossed arrows in a little box), you can select the entire table. Then, you can adjust all the text at once using the Font options on the Home tab. I wish you all the best with your Word document!
There is no dialog box launcher in the font group on the version of Microsoft Word I am using, is there another way? I'm sick of having to change the font and font size every time I need to write a paper for school.
How can I change the default font for a new Office 365 Word document. My Word program comes with the new computer [nothing purchased]. My new document heading is simple and not like those in any YT video. There is no HOME tab to click; no FONT tab, just the font box for the current document; and no little icon that opens further dialog. Thank you.

Hi. Can you please teach me how to change the font of comments of the Review section? I’ve tried with Styles/ManageStyles/Balloon Text/Modfy but it doesen’t work. Not since the last update in Word 365. Sorry for my bad English. I’m Italian.
