Wish we'd found your video before taking every bloody screw out of it and numerous expletives later and about an hour wasted, finally got it sorted thanks to you.
And the best bit is everybody following your videos to repair their hoover is saving yet another electrical item from landfill and us from unnecessary expense. Thanks for the video…I got the gist of what I will need to do on my Mum’s Vax to repair it for her.
I too was that knobhead that took it all apart thinking the hose must be clamped! This video goes to show that not all hero’s wear capes. Thanks for this.
Thank you so much for your help!!!!! I am disabled and really missed my lightweight Vax 32. I"ve just replaced the hose following your instructions. Off to attend to the carpets!!! ☺☺☺
omg thank you so much im a widow pensioner and very independent i like to do things for myself if possible this video is so helpful, i was just about to order a complete new foot, i can now purchase 2 hoses for less than a new foot would have cost me and thanks to this video i can change it myself, again thank you so much
Just found my vax blade 24 hose was split. Googled how to fix and found your site. Just need some hose now and can then press on with the repair. A very helpful guide showing the repair. Thanks very much.
Was just doing this but stoped once i had the top off the two pin wire, didnt want to force the blue section out because i didnt really know if it was fixed somewhere i couldnt see and i might break it. Seeing you waggle it out was just what i needed to see. Thank you very much, now i can replace my hose.
I started taking every bloody screw out and thought hang on a minute I’m sure there is something on RU-vid to put me right! Sure enough! I’m going to do it in the morning in 5 mins and crack on with my day! Thanks buddy!
Just what I needed! Thank you. Like a few other folk have said, my model had the end glued in place (Vax are obviously getting wise to the repairs and trying to make it difficult). Half an hour of scraping the threads with a small screwdriver and the it's sorted. Another vacuum cleaner saved from the rubbish dump. You're a genuine star!
thank you ,took it all to bits before i looked at your instructions , undid a million screws , put it all back together until hose comes , and got spare screws lol
Yep, worked on my glued one, just tried to pull asmuch of plastic out as could after the wire pulled out. Thanks so much. Simple as From Australia, appreciate your simple instructions and realness! Camera troubles and all
Thanks! I also needed to prise out the ring on the other side of the floor head, opposite the cover to the power connector, in order to get the two apart. Very helpful!
Thanks mate!! Cracking video I near stripped the whole thing apart last night, was gonna take it to each individual item tonight, until I found your video, thanks again 👍🏻
As we say in Australia, Wayne, you mate, are a deadset legend! Thank you so much. I am the world's worst handywoman and your guidance (made all the better with your friendly Northern accent),meant I replaced the rotten old hose with minimum fuss. Big thumbs up!!
I’m really glad my video helped you out Cherie, I really hate hearing my voice played back it goes right through me 🤪 haha but it’s worth it to know my video has helped so many people.. And many thanks for taking the time to comment letting me know how you got on 👍👍👍👍
Thank you so much for that little video. Had a bit of difficulty getting out the bottom bit of hose out. Sure it was glued in! Did feel a bit seasick whilst you were setting. Thank once again.
Luckily I looked at this video having removed the obvious screws and attempting to part the halves of the cleaner head! Saved me lots of work! Thankyou for your video
Very useful how to video- thanks! The blade 4 now has the pipe glued in place at both ends. It takes about an hour of scraping with a small screw driver and knife to remove the glue from the threads - it is difficult! Once you have cleared as much of the threads as possible apply some liquid soap to the hose ends to make them easier to screw in. This helps a lot with the glued type.
Hi Wayne, started doing it the hard way and thought there must be a better way. Thanks for showing the better way. BTW, my replacement was way more flexible and longer than the original. Hopefully it lasts longer.
UPDATE i posted the new ones are glued in place, however having followed this video and discovering this problem i started to strip the head down, major job after an hour i thought" keep it simple stupid" and after studying it over a cup of tea i pulled the hose and stretched the wire reinforcing out all the way, the pipe became very flexible without the wire, so with a screwdriver i folded the pipe to the middle, grabbed both sides with pliers and unscrewed the pipe, without the wire came away from the glue with ease, now able to do the change as per video, hope this helps people with the glued version.
Thank you Buddy. Great instruction. I'd been struggling for over an hour. You're a star man. "Terrible camera operator, but you knew how to fix it....thanks"
Thank you very much, I spent almost half an hour to work it out how to replace mine, after watching your video…done in 2 minutes. 👍🏼 thank you very much!
Excellent, Thank you so much for that, almost about to strip it all apart and decided to look at your Video, saved me a lot of time and much appreciated.
Thanks for the video it made changing the hose a lot easier, sadly my hose was really hard to get out of the head part as I had to use needle nose pliers to wind the wire out then pick the plastic out in pieces as it felt like it was clued though it wasn't, the type of plastic was the problem as it had almost welded it's self to the head. It's a design fault by Vac as the hose will always crack over time, it's the second machine with the same problem, hopefully Vax read this and long term change the design as this wouldn't happen to a Dyson.
Mate!!! I'm afraid I'm one of those that took out every screw before coming across ur video 🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️ Took a while to get old pipe out due to the age of the vax it had almost welded stuck, but with a bit of wd40 got it loose and the pipe swapped... Thanks so much 😁
you Sir are a flippin star. I too have watche those other videos and even though I am confidant I can have a go at anything, I just thought no way to that!. But, I do need a new hose as mine is split a lot and the gaffa tape lost its sticky and came away in the end. so finding your video has made me so happy. I have ordered a new hose which should be here tomorrow and I already have the old one off. Incedently I found it easier to cut at the place it had already split and so I didn't have to pull so hard
Thank you so much!! All done - chuffed to bits. The only thing I’d say is you need hands like a bonobo chimp to do this. There was much gritting of teeth pulling those bits apart 😂
Cheers, just changed mine, it's a v24, just a couple of screws different, struggled a bit because it was all split, but managed it in the end!👍👍🏴🏴
Cheers man. You're a legend. I saw that other convoluted video and it seemed like total overkill. Yours is a great no bullshit example of how help videos should be. Thanks again ;)
