Easy, step-by-step video showing how to change the oil and filter on a 1526 or 1626 Mahindra Tractor.
To purchase the Oil Filter I recommend in this video: amzn.to/3A109bq
To purchase the oil I used in this video (enough for about 2 changes): amzn.to/3mloSTf
To purchase a set of channel locks that includes a large one like I used: amzn.to/3B33loq
To purchase a small oil filter wrench which should fit these filters: amzn.to/3mfW3Hx

You can use a PH7317 which is longer, or a PH3593A which is longer and wider FYI

There are better options than resorting to using a Fram oil filter. Either invest a couple of bucks in a socket-style, end-cap wrench that fits your filter (take a new or old filter to any auto parts store and match it to one of the wrenches they stock) or cut a six-inch by six-inch piece of thin sheet rubber (drawer liner material will work) and use THAT to improve your grip. Stick with Baldwin or Wix filters so your engine won't hate you. Nice video.

Don’t use Fram filters people! I run my 1525 4x4 tractor hard in winter with snow blower and 1/4 mile each way up hill, sometimes up to 2 feet deep! I use a Napa gold #1356 filter ( made in Wix plant and $8.) Rotella T6 full synth oil. 5w-40 in very cold winters but 15w-40 for hot summers. No need to buy factory over priced stuff, that combo is even better! 👍

Thank you for the video, I have 1526, and you're right about the lack of room. also, the oil dipstick is damn near impossible to see. I've found an easy way to change the filter through, I purchased a wrench that fits over the end of the filter and you supply the rachet and extension drive to turn it out, it works well. I bought it a while ago, don't recall what parts store i purchased it at. Also what are your thougts on using synthetic oil?

It would be awesome if you could post a link to the filter wrench that fits these. I have a lot of the standard oil on hand, which is why I use that. Personally, I prefer to change my oil more often using the cheaper oil rather than less often using a synthetic, but if the intervals are the same, the synthetic would be a superior choice.

Just did my 50 hour oil/oil filter change as well as fuel filter. Your videos were very helpful. Do you have a video showing front axle and hydraulic oil changes too?

I bought my husband a small used chainsaw. I’d like to drain the gas and add new etc. I haven’t a clue how to do this. It sat in a garage for 3 years so I’m also wondering what else might need to be do. Would you consider a video for women who want to learn? 😊

It's a good idea to drain the old fuel. I only use ethanol-free gas in small engines like Chainsaws and doing so will save you a lot of trouble in the future because ethanol will gum up carburetors and eat fuel lines. If your chainsaw won't run, it's likely a good idea to look for leaking fuel lines or primer bulbs and replace as necessary. Replace the spark plug. And then replace or rebuild the carburetor. If you have to replace any fuel lines, this video should help: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-YSR-7gQ6sYI.html

Hello Farmer Dad, I just purchased this tractor used and it didn't come with a manual. Do you have a clue where to find a manual, your Amazon links are helpful but I'd like to look up other parts as well. Thank you

I was able to go to service.mahindrausa.com/ssm/campaigncheck.aspx and enter serial number and then get a pdf version of my manual.
