hay it's your compressor so do what you want to- But your not suppose to take the sight glass out-The little screw under the sight glass is the drain plug-you can also use the old oil in your 2 cycle weedeater - just strain it first👍

Thanks for your tip. Either one is fine. I prefer the site class because there the allen screw is starting to strip out on mine and I have never had an issue getting the old oil out from there. There is nothing in the user's manual that says you can't remove the sight glass. It has an o-ring on it anyway so if it leaked, it's an easy fix. All roads lead to Rome.

ok....I'm listening and ready. Also ya think synthetic would be better for this? I run mine a lot every day in my shed that I use for a wood shop. And damn man...mine ain"t that clean!

I think the most important thing is keeping the oil clean. I just use whatever the manual recommends so that’s why I used this one. I have another compressor that uses a completely different oil so when in doubt follow the manual
