Pro tip….Fill the oil filter before install…rotate it and the oil will absorb into the filter with no spillage when installing…This aids in shortening the start up lack of oil …👍
Thank you for this instructional video. Note that HD recently issued revised procedure to dealers on oil level checking for Rev Max engines: Bike upright (not on centre stand), engine at operating temperature, oil level should be between the 2 marks on dip stick. I just had my wife hold the bike upright [the bike becomes weightless if held perfectly upright] while I checked the oil level. I suppose I could put my PAm on the centre stand and place a piece of wood under the front wheel to level the bike out and then do the oil level check.
Perfect! Thank you - One of the Easier oil changes. Removing skid plate was much easier with oil filter drainage. I have had one oil change at the dealer, low mile bike. The dealer installed the drain plug (Redwood Harley Davidson - Eureka) Using the o-ring .... as well as "thread tape"?? WTF If I knew how to load the photo I would...
Love seeing Pan am content! For what its worth, HD has a video on their own channel for the Nightster (rev max engine) and they pre-fill the oil filter halfway.
I just bought a 23. The dealer painted the yellow tank and left the white fairing on. It looks identical to yours. Did yours come with the white fairing or did you change it yourself. If you did I’d buy the black one lol. Thanks for the video
@@DomAdrian2312 Yes it is a jiffy stand. As you put pressure on the stand it moves up into a "locked" position like all modern harleys, and helps prevent rolling.
