do you advise starting the bike first to warm up the oil and to make sure any metal flashing is not resting on the bottom of the cases where it is unlikely to drain out?
It all depends how the bike gets ridden and the amount of clutch used. Husqvarna recommends changing the gear oil every 40 operating hours or every race. Many racers or people that ride hard may change the gear oil every ride or every few rides, while a less aggressive rider can go much longer between services.
I thought you would have shown the oil check level bolt on the opposite side of the bike. This should be removed and the gearbox filled until oil starts to seep out. Only way to check the oil level correctly!!!
