Thanks, Maliek! I have been away from your tutorials for a while and it feels good to be viewing them again. I always learn something and you make it fun and easy to understand. 👏👏👏
Thanks again. This was one of those tutorials, that one has to watch several times, because all these new ideas keep popping into one's head while watch. Awesome!!!😃
I really like the lighten blending mode and I've been using it with great results. It works perfectly for overlays and to bring movement to a still image. Peace!
1) I want to record my self doing something. 2)How do I get the background behind me green? The rest is easy, but how do I get my background green.?????
Actually I recently made a couple of videos where I chroma-key the sky out. Actually, what i did was to duplicate the video clip, on the duplicate I chroma-keyed the sky out but on the original, left it in place. The original is on the master timeline, the duplicate is on the second overlay timeline. In between them is my title graphic as a PNG transparency, key-framed to come up from behind background(buildings and such in the distance), up to the sky, then grow in size as it comes to the foreground. The idea came from one of your earlier tutorials, or one of Jim Levitt's "Sharper Turtle" tutorials, or a combination of both.
Such a great tutorial about background changing, I usually used AE for this procedure, but it's more complicated. Great PD future I've never had a guess. Nice and useful video for my file.
Thanks for the guide! It's very helpful, so how do you find some good backgrounds to replace the green screen? Are there only choices in project room - video templates?
The one thing I never understood is the multiply, lighten, and everything else on that menu. I don't know what each of those selections are supposed to do. For example, chroma key gets rid of a color such as green or blue. But lighten and multiply? Honestly, if it was me, I would've just do chroma key on everything, a mistake a newbie video editor would do. Can you explain on a future video covering this? Or if you did a video in the past, what's the title so that I can view it. Thank you very much and keep up the good work.
If several tools can do the same thing it’s up to you and which tool you want to use. If you want to learn more about blending modes watch this. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-L2huu7ELTGQ.html
Dear sir Can we change a black and white filme to color (colorize of old films) with power director or one of the suite softwere I talk about reguler not 365. Thank you.
I have a video that I wanted to remove the background but it is too difficult to do it. I did watch your Custome Mask background removal tutorial but my video subject moves across the screen, though slowly but way too many key frames to manage. Is there another way to remove background of a video?
Not using PowerDirector. If you have Color Director you can use the motion mask. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-5cJRt8uffUE.html The feature wasn’t working a while back so you should check with CyberLink to see if they fixed the bug before trying with color Director.
My channel for the PowerDirector app is RU-vid.com/pdumobile You can find a tutorial there. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-zUisxihpk9s.html
Hello. I bought a new phone and I'm filming in 8K. When I use PowerDirector 17 on my laptop, the video is grainy and fuzzy. The audio is static like cosmic background radiation. This happens whether I use green screen or not. Please help!
What are the video and audio codecs of the video file? CyberLink PowerDirector supports certain codecs and file formats. www.cyberlink.com/products/powerdirector-video-editing-software/specs_en_US.html
@@scottymont4438 AVC can be MP4; MXF, XAVC, etc. Without knowing much about your file or being able to test it myself there isn’t much I can do. You can post your issue, share your files, and share your PC specs on the PowerDirector forum. If you do that anyone on the forum can see if the issue is your file, your pc, or the program. forum.cyberlink.com/forum/forums/show/190.page
It seems that PowerDirector applies the chroma key filter AFTER the effects instead before (like every other editing software). This means you can't apply color changing effects (eg black and white) together with chroma key: The effect will change the color of your green screen so the chroma key filter won't work anymore. The only suggestion I found in the web was to render the video with chroma key and then re-import it in a new project. Please tell me this is not true and I just missed something.
