+Steven McLeod - Sears has a video on their site that shows this a little more clearly. www.searspartsdirect.com/whirlpool/dryer/model-LEQ9508LW0-repair/0151200/repair-guide/dryer/how-to-replace-a-dryer-idler-pulley.html
Excellent video! Was able to fix my squealing dryer in 30 minutes (and became a hero to my wife!) If you've got a noisy Whirlpool dryer, don't hesitate to give it a shot. Just follow each step carefully and double check everything as you go.
hello the dryer veins will collect lint and sometimes money in them along also with small pieces of paper the lint will eventually roll up to little balls and serve no purpose they can be thrown away
Perfect!!!! Saved me a bundle!! A pen had busted in the dryer and my wife manually spun the drum in the dryer. The belt derailed from the tensioner and motor. Easy fix once I figured out the exact placement for the belt. THANKS A MILLION!
Thank you so much Mr gidley for your informative video..Got my belt changed and didnt have to pay some "joe" an outrageous service fee, cheers to you sir!
So your going mg to need this to take that thing off and put the metal piece in that place there where the other piece comes out and then put that thing here back on and that’s it!
i have an older dryer...was working perfectly. I threw a feather pillow in and what a mess. Took it apart to clean it out and now I cannot get a good seal. The rear of the drum is loose on one side, opposite from the idler assembly. Everything feels tight but still cannot get a tight seal. belts are in place. Suggestions?
