How to change your rubber from your squeegee

Changing the rubber is important ;) But really a sharp crisp squeegee rubber leads to a cleaner more streak free job. Missing in this is explaining you can flip your rubber to use on the other side. Do that before tossing it out. The rubber will wear down quicker in hotter conditions and when your are cleaning super dirty windows and when the windows have crappy or older frames. I change mine about every two or three days. Sometimes more depending on the circumstances.

That way works, there's a flip in each blade also. Perhaps use the old blade to cut the new blade for length prior to installation. The waste could be used in a 4" detailing squeegee.

Can you use the old rubber as the pattern for the new rubber ? Thats the way we do it.Take care.

Maybe a better idea is to trim them down for all your smaller squeegees because most of the time the ends are done but the rest of it is fine unless you get a nick or something just a thought for you to save some 💵👍🏻

Im picky about the wear on my blades, often flip and change them out. I use Moerman 2.0 channels the tips do wear quicker, the changed blades are saved and cut shorter up to 3 times. My blades are spendy and I like to get the fuller use from them. If a cut blade doesn't work as good then it's cut for a detailing squeegee.
