It really is! Its a lovely silhouette, but I'm glad i made this wearable version first to allow me to spot them last fit preferences before i commited that much material.

I've seen this pattern on another channel and was tempted but the amount of fabric put me off. Lining just the bodice with a sturdier fabric might help with the weight of the skirt
Yes great idea, that is my usual lining choice. I have been wearing the dress since i completed the video and the waistband seems to have settled into a more level shape. I would definitely recommend doing as you suggest or reinforcing the waistband with another technique on making this though.
