As long if u use the cable in jbl box, it’s fine, because the canle itself is designed in low output

Yeah, i do the same That is because ur battery still got lot of juice in it, So the charging time is shorter than what it should be

I got one for free with a purchase and have never seen the red light. I plugged it in after unboxing and charged it for 5h. Then used it for 4-5h while working outside and plugged it in once back inside. No light…..nothing. I guess I use it until dead to see if there is a red light :D

If you’re lucky then it may just be a bad charging cable.

It should provide 5 volts.

It’s ok to partially charge. They are using batteries similar to smartphones.

Hi, using a higher amp charger is absolutely ok. The speaker will not draw more power that it needs to charge the battery. The only thing that can damage the speaker would be to use a higher voltage.

Do you know how many Amps the charger can supply? It usually says it in fine print somewhere. Normally it should be fully charged by now.

I was wondering the same, I got a new JBL Go 3 today, tried it for a few minutes, then put in a USB C cable that is plugged in to an IKEA power box with USB ports about 6.5 hours ago but the red light is still on. Oh... I just plugged in the original cable in the second port of the same box and as I'm typing this, after about a minute or two now the red light just turned off....

Yea, it may be fake. I have not seen a JBL speaker that would say that the battery is low. All of my speakers only play a jingle.
