Very good video. I also got a bZ4X. There are too many functions in this car. May be I am too old to learn new stuffs. Every time I read the manual, I will feel sleepy and cannot continue to read. I will appreciate if you can make some more video on the different functions and settings on the bZ4X. Thank you!
Hi there, I wondered if you had an issue with the rear seat warning and if there was a way to turn it off in Canada? I don't see the menu options shown on other country models. I could be wrong though. Regards!
Thanks for the info. Even though I went through all the settings, I missed the "unlock charging when at %100". So many setting to set up. It's nice to have an overview. I'll be making that change right now :)
Wow great video this is quite a detail information about home charging for the BZ4X, hopefully when its to our shore Toyota would sort out the percentage changing and range.

I have a bz4x front wheel I like the share option is company arrives. Can u tell me how many amp breaker needed either series or parallel so I can guide electrician and whatever panels that are needed provided my electrical panels are maxed out
You made a comment on your first Bz4x video in response to someone’s comment that you were going to make a video on why you switched from the RAV4 Prime. I’d like to know why you switched to a BEV and why you chose the BZ4X. I’m probably going to buy an EV in the next year or two but it’s not for any practical reason. I like driving electric and I’m finding I don’t go over the range of a good EV very often. I probably won’t go for the BZ4x as there are other EV’s here that qualify for the federal tax rebate here in the US while Toyota’s don’t.

That portable charger with the Nema 14-50R plug. Looks like the female end of that will fit into Tesla portable charger as well, looks like same shape, Interchangeable?

my bz4x will not start charging when I plug it in , I have to go into the app and tell it to start charging. Is there a way to set it to start charging when I plug it in?
Hi! There's no such thing as Toyota charging stations. In order to properly plan your roadtrip, you can use applications such as ABRP (A better route planner). All EVs (except Tesla) use the CCS1 combo standard for fast charging so you'll have to set that in the app. Tesla is also opening up their network to most other EVs, so planning ahead is always beneficial.
Residential DC fast chargers are not a viable option. They cost several thousands of dollars and it's not worth it. The battery will eventually degrade over time if you only use DC fast charger instead of AC. The degree of degradation will vary from different people according to their usage. Don't expect your battery to degrade over 20% in a lapse of 10 years. There have been scientific studies done on that and you could find them online.
Il faut suivre les recommendations du manufacturier et celui-ci mentionne de le charger à plein. Il est effectivement vrai que les batteries lithium-ion préfèrent une charge vers les 50% mais ceci n'empêche pas du fait qu'il y a déjà une partie non chargeable de la batterie que Toyota a prévue. Pour ma part, je charge à 100%. Si vous voulez prendre des précautions, vous pouvez mettre une heure de départ ce qui fera en sorte que le véhicule commencera la charge plus tard dans la nuit, donc moins de temps passé à 100%.
