This guide is tiptop perfec t (thumpup). So long wargaming does not fix the matchmaker, that the teams are balanced, an average player like me, has no use of it. I am had over a month allways weak teams and even if i am made over 4k damage I am had to loose - no influence, because my team did die so fast.
Tip for autoloaders: Don't let the enemy know that you are reloading by reversing or turning the turret away etc. Stay and aim for them as if you were reloaded!
or, turn your turret and retreat a bit while still having shells.. they will charge at you thinking you are empty and get a nasty surprise.. keep them guessing!
Dont forget that experienced players often pay attention to autoloaders and count - if engaged - how many shots they shoot. That is something I do often, like today there was a Char F shooting at me, oll 4 shots bounced or you have an enemy autoloader shooting at one in you team next to you, you will start counting shots he shoots. He shoots 3-4 shots? then you can cleraly attack it.
@@delaBoujardiere obviously it doesn't work, if the enemy can count all your shots. It's only for situations when the enemy can't know whether you are reloading or not. Especially in a BC with the long reload, you shoot 1 or 2 shots and move to another flank without reloading and engage new enemies. They can't know that you already fired 2 shots.
Trick i've seen countless good autoloader players do is if you have a shorter autoloader reload then fire 1-2 and just flat reload while acting like you still have rounds and just acting like you're getting non shootable scenarios and then you're loaded and fire another 1-2 and they think you're dry and you act like you're dry to make them push and fire another 1 and save 1 for about 5 seconds in case they push again then reload again and dump the full mag into them; it's infuriating to see a bottomless mag autoloader done well on the receiving end.
For tips 10 and 20; Make sure you balance your ammo. You don't always need all the gold, it will depend on the tank. For example, STB-1 has AP and HEAT, taking a good amount of HEAT is great, but also take AP shells to penetrate through spaced armour to deal damage and to deal damage when tracking. Other tanks might have the choice of the exact same shells, for example, the chieftain has two APCR types which means you don't need to balance the ammunition (besides a few HESH shells). You always go for the gold since it is just better. There is a rare moment where gold can also be worse depending on the situation, like the Strv 103b. Use standard for faster shell velocity since gold loses shell velocity. If you play low tiers and have the SU-100Y, make sure you keep standard rounds since premium rounds have less penetration but more damage. Hope it clears it up for a few players out there! ❤️
Also, I'd say that the first field mod, that allows you to have a second ammo and consumables loadout, is very useful for free to play players. My standard loadout is for mid and bottom tier matches, where I take more gold, less AP and almost no HEs, whereas the second one is for top-tier battles, where I'll need hardly any gold rounds, so I take more AP and a couple of HEs more as well.
The minimap is by far makes the biggest difference for me. When I started watching the minimap like Kajzoo said, I started making decisions at the right time, like falling back to a safer location to defend, or to be more aggressive. Now I just watch the map when I'm not doing anything, trying to look for opportunities to present itself.
After playing this game for 10+ I with my friends came to a conclusion. The game is supposed to be fun, so we 3-marked IS7 and equipped them with best crews and everything and now we only play 3-man platoon of ramming monsters IS7 with easy 60%+ winrate, the winrate could be higher but we prefer fun over winning more games
Small note at 21:10 for people as well: Knocking tanks out (safely) always takes priority over the biggest "threat" tank. Evening the odds by reducing the total number of guns on the enemy team does more than damage farming the one big guy. I've seen many losses (and therefore stat reductions) from people trying to farm as much damage as possible and leaving a few guys on low health. Then, after they get knocked out, those low health enemies continue on and finish up what's left when you could have knocked them out well before that. All in all, still very relevant information despite being released a year ago! This is a great channel for newer people to better learn how this game works more than just drive + shoot.
I miss your vids, bro. Been away for a while and came back recently after major changes in my life. Hope you still remember me from back in the your very early days. Glad to see that people now appreciate you for who you really are...a LEGENDARY TANKER. Keep rising, buds.
I’ve been playing this game for close to 11 years now. I learned something that I never heard anywhere else before in the first 1:50 seconds of this video. I think that alone shows just how much effort kajzoo puts into his videos to make them actually worth while. Thanks for the content as always bro, keep on being awesome
@afoquinn17 I can see how that might be overlooked. Newer players tend to focus on kills over damage. While taking guns out of the fight is the main goal, causing dmg is first required. Hence, staying alive as long as possible to keep your gun in the game while dealing dmg, is key. If you have 1hp, you can still get 1000 more dmg in, which could be the difference between winning and losing. Playing smart can help you become a 1000 avg dmg player in tier 4-8, fairly quickly. Rushing in and single-handedly destroying a flank should only be attempted by players who can actually do it and intentionally so. Everyone else should be hanging back behind the flanks half map line, and waiting for the enemy to make mistakes first.
One important tip you missed: Shoot tracks. More specifically, shoot the sprocket wheel at the front or at the back of the tank, since you can damage or destroy the track while still dealing damage to the enemies HP. The enemy won't be able to retreat or angle his tank, and heavies with slow turrets wont be able to hit you if your tank is fast enough. Of course tank destroyers without a turret wont be able to do anything when you get to their side. And if your gun shoots fast enough and the enemy already used his repair kit, you can even kill him from full hp without taking a hit when you track him on a corner so he can't shoot you. Also, tracking gives extra xp when your teammates shoot the enemy after you tracked him.
You can't damage the enemy if you can't Penetrate them, for example most if not all light tanks have trouble with heavy tanks because of the armor they have, for example any light tank is considered useless against the E100 or Maus, both tanks have really good armor and can be a danger to light tanks. So my point is even if your a speedy tank if you can't penetrate them your gonna lose. And speeding around is just delaying the inevitable. SO the best counter to heavy tanks or most anyway is to capture their zone because it will take them a while to get there, only if you use light tanks though, because they got speed. The only exception to this is the FV4005 tank destroyer, because even though it has great speed, penetration and damage output, it has way less armor and can be easily taken out by light tanks due to this.
Another thing I wish to mention about light tanks and the FV4005 is that the fight can go either way because you can't simply outrun it because it has the same speed as a light tank and you can't simply circle them to try and prevent this, u can try but.. the FV4005 also has a fast turning turret just like you. So the FV4005 is the only tank that is equal to every light tank in every aspect except for firepower and penetration. Not sure if u already knew this but yeah that's real.
This is really helpful, especially being a f2p. I have been watching your educational vids for a while now, and it's encouraging me to play world of tanks again. Thanks!
@@legoheimerda3rd As a fellow f2p, I don't have any crew skills except on tanks the game gives me for free which seems to happen rather often (just tech tree tanks). On every other tank I'm rocking 60% crews. Thankfully this next update will remove crews below 100%.
I would strongly recommend anyone to follow Kajzoo advice. And what is the point in playing, if you have to cheat ? You will feel better, if you play without cheats. However: Cheats has several benefits such as reload timers, destruction of fences, trees, houses show you where enemy is, vegetation is removed, you get flags for blindfire hits, lasers and warning if someone is aiming at you. WG should totally remove destructables for clan wars or competitive gaming events. Aimbot is not good if tanks are in cover, but in the open, its very effective. So: cheats are not total shit, and you should know how they work, to be able to provide counter measures and beat the cheaters. Judging by the number of paying customers, i think at least 50000 players use it. Maybe 0-2 players each match in randoms, up to 4-8 in events like frontline. The dpi made me check my own settings, I was actually at 1600 but use a tiny pad. Windows mouse settings should disable acceleration, disable enhance presicion and sensitivity? at 10 of 20 ? Not sure. Trying 1300 dpi now 😊 and 1000hz polling rate.
The quality of these are crazy, not only is Kajzoo crazy good at the game but I would also say he has the best editing out of any WOT youtubers out there. 50h of working on this video paid off, because the end result is great.
Amazing video as always Kajzoo 👍. I have problem with 18. Reading enemy setup. It happens so often, that enemy tanks are going on unusual and uncommonly positions, for example 3 superhevies went in the dip on Fjords from north spawn or slow TDs went on mill on Malinovka etc.
I will add one as well: Turn off the aim lock feature. Learning to manually aim will give you very good results, especially against EBRS and other tanks that the auto-lock gives you bounce after bounce as it aims for the center of mass instead of the top of the tank. Aim at that LT, but slightly above center - actual damage almost every time versus letting the AI do it for you.
The thing which is frustrating in this game, when some players camp the whole time with good fast tanks at the end of the map....sidescraping the map line and when we win they rush to make as much damage possible...
Pro tip: When spotting for your team, don't highlight an enemy tank that you don't plan on shooting yourself. This keeps the enemy six sense from activating, giving you an edge. This is true for every tank type, not just scouts.
This may be somewhat of a niche-utility comment, but I play TDs a lot. Not the super-campy, type, I play aggressively with tanks like hellcat, that are mobile. One major problem in games is when your light does a "suiscout" and leaves your team with no vision. The enemy light will see your team has lost its vision, lick his chops and run in and spot your entire team to death. So I have optimized my TD to be able to fill in for a missing light. (or on games where there are no lights at all) Now I don't quite have the mobility of a scout, and ANY time I fire my boomstick I'm probably going to get spotted by someone, so a lot of the time I play as a passive scout. I've racked up huge spotting damage and turned the tide in many games. (my record is a five spotter series in my hellcat - 5,000+ spotting) I love giing the enemy light a nasty surprise by perma-spotting him in a vulnerable position where he thought he would be unspottable, and watching as my team sends him to the garage to think about his life choices. Often by that point his teammates have committed to the position and now I'll be spotting them too, and we'll win the flank that we should have lost. So the lesson here is don't be afraid to play outside your comfort zone. Have the ability to play your tank the way your team needs you to play it, not just how it's "supposed to" be played. In clan wars, there have been many times when I've just plain been bait for the enemy team. Play clan wars or triple platoons frequently to get more comfortable with playing for your team to win than for YOU to personally get a good score. You can often get a better reward for being a good team player on a loss than trying to play for yourself and get a win but failing to win. So many people play very selfishly and may have good games but at a cost to their team. Be a team player! Also not mentioned, COMMUNICATE with your teammates. And don't just spam the Attack message, nobody likes that. If you're pinned down, tag the problem tank and hope your allies help relieve a little of the pressure. If you see an impotant tank leave cover, tag him so other players that might otherwise be tunnel-visioning on another target see it and grab a shot-of-opportunity on the valuable target. This is especially important with enemy lights and with mediums that are trying to move to a flanking position. Thank that ally that swooped in and saved you while you were on reload. Thank allies that take advantage of an opening you create. Target locations on the map that need attention like the likely destination of that flanker that just disappeared. I also ping on the map where I think arty is, based on shots I've received as well as by watching the tracers moving through the air, gives my arty a better chance to anti-arty them. Remind an ally he should retreat if he's tunnel-visioning on that tank in front of him and doesn't realize he's about to get overrun.
Thank you for this wonderful video. It is very thorough and covers all aspects of the game. As much as it is important to teach players what to do, I also think it's important to teach people what not to do. It would be cool to include examples of players messing up, maybe through WOTreplays and other sources just to show what not to do in certain situations to learn from other people's mistakes. I also noticed that you forgot to mention about the faking tactic where you drive one direction and turn around when you get unspotted to catch your opponents by surprise but I suppose that isn't as important as all the other stuff in this video. It would be interesting to here your opinions on certain situations when the game is a stalemate and your in a situation where you don't want to push out of fear of dying and getting a bad score, or if you are going for marks and you are below the requirements in terms of the battle score.
15:50 was the best idea for me. To overangle the turret so it is easy for reloading enemy, that way they stay there and be surprised when i go for my shot and enemy bounce.
since i took your sensitivity from you video on how to aim better i've set a new damage record multiple times as it was way harder to hit weak spots before. TY for your time and efoort into these videos as they help ou a lot.
I ve been casualy playing WOT for 10 years. You know 2-3 battles a day, some grind on weekends. Today i played 16 battles with my 703-II. And got zero wins. After watching this video and applying the techinics- got 2 kills, 800+ blocked damage, 900 spot damage and dished out almost 2k damage. So this works fine asf
I've recently gone back to the game and the amount of people shooting gold is trully astonishing. I get the idea, that you need it on the higher tier battles, that you should carry a couple of shells just in case, but I was totally baffled when I went into tier III and IV battle and guys were using only the gold ammo. Also, nice tips and reminders for returning players, I hope I can score some better games thanks you your video. Cheers!
Thanks kajzoo, you definitely inspired me to play wot again, and I'll keep in mind for all of your tips on that vid, definitely gonna check out on your stream more often in the future, keep up with the good video mate.
Cheating?? NAH Kajzoo has a gamer bath robe that nobody else uses. Great video content as always. Interesting suggestion. Maybe do a series on twitch or YT where you train someone to unicom level live. Unless you've tried it already?
I remember back when I was an edgy young teen using illegal mods, in my case an improved auto aim that worked through obstacles and calculated lead. It actually worked and I somehow never got caught and still have my account to this day, though I primarily play war thunder instead now. Occasionally go back on wot to piss people off with arty.
These tips are great. BUT, the main issue I see is with newer players getting grouped in with more advanced players. These new players get very frustrated and leave the game. I have watched the NA server go from 75k players when I started playing too many years ago to just hitting 10k at peak NA times. After midnight US East Coast time the number drops to about 5k. And many of these players at this time are either Russian or Chinese speaking. This frustrates the new players, as well. Lack of communication hurts. Very good video.
after 8 years of playing and consistantly getting 4.5k dpg in meta tier 10's. I must admit I never knew gun blocking only works with HEAT and HE and partially with AP and APCR. Thought it blocked all shells
i just subscribe!! as soon i seen that horizontal stabilization option, i subscribe. and yeah, i been doing the big map, by default each time i play, it help me alot. thanks kajzoo 😊😊♥♥💪💪
How to cheat in WoT : Buy many things, get outrageously unfair mm and other benefits and (allegedly)unnatural RNG Great video tho, but I got rid of all my WoT related problems and have completely migrated to War Thunder. edit. Some tips work even in Blitz, since I mostly played that, and my light tank skills have improved there back then, when I was still actively playing it.
biggest problem for me is team-mates not knowing what you're doing and calling for you to be reported. For example if you and just one teammate are on a flank and you see its about to be rushed by half the enemy team. What I do is ping my ally with the retreat command and run away to a better spot. 9 times out of 10 they ignore me, get killed in a cross fire and then blame me for not helping. Sure cos me being there will stop 7 enemies from rushing the two of us. Its not cowardice to run from a fight you can't win; its common sense. But unfortunately most of the player base just see retreating as reportable behaviour. Another one is when you use certain tank classes in ways you normally don't. Like using meds on the heavy line. Some times its fine to see the odd 430U or E50m there to help, but far too often I see too many meds with the heavies and the other flank falls apart in seconds. (Mostly happens on city maps) Same with TDs, I don't know why people use assault gun TDs as snipers, you're wasting the armour and the intimidation factor of the massive guns those tanks normally have.
Nice summary, but I believe you did not point out the most important thing enough: you need the knowledge about maps, shooting angles, parameters of each tank you meet (alpha, reload, armor) what ppl can only learn by playing lots of battles.
4:07 might be a controversial opinion but this spot is just so beyond broken and pretty much encourages throwing the game so you can sit there and farm damage. The absolute minimum would be to either remove the bushes or make it flat ground. But hulldown AND bushes is just broken as eff. Or make a road around so people can come from behind. Positions without a counter are bad and can only ever be taken with a huge amount of hp sacrificed.
It's hilarious that a MAHOU member was the screenshot you used for toxicity @ 17:01. Every time I am on a team with a MAHOU member they are crying in chat about someone or the team. They are the epitome of try-hard.
The pen indicator made people dumber, change my mind. Before that you actually had to learn the armor layout of every vehicle. Now these morons spend years face hugging and searching for that weak spot at the same time
Hey! I just found your channel, great video. A lot of good knowledge there. By sharing your vast knowledge we all improve, making the game better. I'm a console player, but there was a lot that applies no matter what version you play on. Great visual references, too!
Incredible! I would say I’m one of the better players, but still watch your Tipp videos. The most of them doesn’t give me new Tipps but perhaps one per video. I love your content and watch so many videos of you and your clan mate Mailand. Absoluty amazing guys. I love it.
I'd love some way to have a mod that would let me view from what angles I was spotted, something like the batle hits viewer. Would make my light tank experience a lot more enjoyable.
Bro literally used one of the most heavily armored tanks as the thumbnail showcase , the tiger 2 has the best frontal armor and its insanely hard to pen. And put the words "How to cheat" next to it, thats actually funny if you think about how unfair the tiger 2s armor is to come across in a match, it makes sense.
Very good video, sadly I am a very bad player, I find there is simply far too much to take in for a 15 minute game, plus my reflex's are way way way too slow
I am impressed. The first one i see who does NOT say "YoU DonT nEEd mOre ThaN 445 M VieW RaNGe" Those people never understood how the spotting system works. Thanks for that, finally someone understood spotting.
One of the best and most helpful content... most important is to hav fun while doing all these... else it's pointless... keep up the good work Kajzoo...
