I just bought a saw and will be doing this soon. Thanks for the demo.

between this one and the blade angle jig, I am suddenly very glad that I have a dial indicator with no mag base in the shop. That old thing is going to have a new life!

Was kind of hoping you were going to show how you made adjustments even though we probably have different saw. Nice video and I just use a square placed against blade and knife as I don't have a dial indicator.

Nice video. As a matter of fact I was dealing with this very problem today in the shop. I use digital calipers since thats what I have left from my machinist days.

I have just bought a table saw that has issues but on setting the blade parallel to the fence, I find that the riving knife is 1/16" closer to the fence than the blade which has the obvious implications. Hopefully, it has adjustment.

I spent an hour today trying to align mine before I "removed" it. Tomorrow I will not be defeated¡

Brian, are you therefore saying the right side of the blade should be flush with the right side of the RK which would sort of provide a featherboard effect towards the fence.

No. It doesn't need to be perfectly flush. What's most important is that the riving knife be parallel with the blade and fall completely within the kerf of the blade.
