Can you check the codes without a scanner for the journey just bought one with push button start

Where did you get your code device to find out what's wrong with the vehicle

is there a sequence used to pull up codes without using a obd code reader on a push button start 2017 dodge journey? every dodge i have now and have had in the past have all had to use the actual key to start it and all used the same simple sequence (key to on pos.then back to off 3 times) and if any codes they will show up on digital readout in digital odometer display

My 2019 dodge journey check engine light just came on with 1000 miles so it could be the gas cap is what u are saying 😅

Did the code actually clear? This afternoon I tried repeatedly to clear a P0562 code and it wouldn't clear. I have never worked on a Dodge before.
