Knowing the benchmarks for your SSD's read and write speeds is very important. By knowing this, you can find out if you are truly getting the most speed for your money.
Solid state drives are pretty fast - much faster than mechanical hard drives. But, if you have an NVMe drive, you will experience much faster speeds than what is shown in this video.
If your SSD is fast, you will have better video editing and gaming performance.

on Windows 10 ,you can just open CMD as administrator ,and say "winsat disk",Windows will check the C drive for you , or you can say "winsat disk -drive D", so Windows check the D drive for you

Good video, I have a 4.0 Nvme in a pc with only a 3.0 slot.. watching task manager I only ever saw max speeds of 500 MB's. So getting this program I was glad to see it pull 3500 in both read/write speeds 😊👌

I have a Kingston UV500 mSATA, when I started to use it I could move heavy files more than 200 or 150 Mbps. Now I'm not able to achive more than 100 mbps even with zip files and so. Could someone tell me why? thanks.

When I run CrystalDiskMark 6.0.0 x64 on my Samsung EVO 840 SSD SATA 3, using the 50MiB setting, I get R/W speeds in the 3 GB/s. Thats faster then the interface would allow (600MB/s). How come these results differ so much from yours? Which ones are the right ones?

I test mine and it reaches 2.5 GB. I am really amazed with the performance but my concern is why my PC is freezing esp. in opening windows and closing. renaming file folders also in windows explorer is freezing. Hey Rey Bitol A SSD is very much faster then a Hard disk, so maybe you should try and set the SSD as internal storage? Also, you can try to move games from your hard drive to your SSD. They will start/close/load up to 10 times faster, depends on how much space you have in your SSD and what brand it is. Wish you a happy day!😄👍 -A random guy you can trust

Hey everyone, I just purchased the Sabrent Rocket Nvme M.2 1TB SSD. The read and write speeds should have been (Read:5,000/Write: 4,500), but I'm only getting (Read 3,500/Write: 2,500). Have I done something wrong? I have the Asus Prime Z390-A Motherboard, which should be able to handle the entirety of the drives power, but I have not been sucessful in doing so. if anyone could help. I will love you forever :)

Size zero bearing on speed. Most sata drives are 2.5 inches and depending on the model can vary wildly in speeds and the NVMe drives are even smaller than the SATA drives and run faster too.

Yes, because the larger the SSD the more memory cells the SSD controller will push-pull the data thru, so a 250 GB is kinda slower than an 1 TB drive!

not all are created the same, there can be many factors between systems and between different SSDs even if the same model

wait, if my wifi download speed is 70 mb/s, and my drive reads at 2 gb/s, then why is it that when i download stuff from steam it only downloads at 20 mb/s? it's not the CPU, i have a 11th gen i9.

well, MB and mb are two different things. Gigabit (gb) and gigabyte (GB) are also 2 different things, steam is also limited in how much it can download at a time because of its millions of users concurrently using steams services as a whole.
