How to Check The Oil Level In Your Porsche 911/991 

1:07 actually, Porsche decided that the type of driver that drives their cars wears a three-piece suit and is not mechanically inclined to be pulling dipsticks. What is so dumb about their system is that the level cannot be checked unless the oil is "hot" above a certain temperature. They should have designed the system so that you can also check the oil level "cold".

I want to check my oil condition though! It should be clean with a low mileage car but I guess the only way to find out is to pull the plug?

What oil would you use on a 150k miles 991.2 3.0? I see the level is mid, but it starts to make a ticking noise 5minutes after i started it. (After sitting for a couple of weeks)

I just picked up my car from an oil change it say oil level ok but just one green bar. Do you believe it was my engine on when I checked and not underfilled?

I just picked up my Porsche from an oil change and ran it for 20 min. Indicator show level ok but only 1 green bar. Do you think some inexperienced mechanic under filled it?

you forgot to mention one major problem. You need to run a vehicle more than 20min to check its level. fking ridiculous
