Great video. Thank you! FYI, the "11" stamped on the head of the cam bolts refers to the hardness of the metal the bolt is made out of.

If you don’t drain the oil, I’m assuming it’s normal for it leak from the engine plug while it’s open. Should I just top it off or go through and change it at this point? Want to make sure there’s oil in there when I get valves in spec. AWESOME VID!!!

Up to you boss The oil will drain from the oil plug hole for a while tbh There is oil in res An in the lines.

My timing chain need replaced soo I did the valves to. Plus I was having a hard time starting it soo I knew it was the valves

I want to adjust my valves myself for the first time ever, i’m just not sure if i have the right idea yet. I was wondering if the valve clearance is based off the shim size? or how does that work? any help is appreciated! 2006 Ltr450
@SuzukiQuadLife
@SuzukiQuadLife 2 года назад
Shim sized is based off the gap size
@SuzukiQuadLife
@SuzukiQuadLife 2 года назад
Intake should be .006 (.15mm) An exhaust should be .010 (.25mm)
@SuzukiQuadLife
@SuzukiQuadLife 2 года назад
You have to check the clearances an from their it will tell you what size shim you need. Small the shim the bigger the gap Bigger the shim small the gap. So going down in shim size increases the valve clearance gap Going up in shim size decreases the valve clearance gap.

My LTR450 has no line next to the "T" it has one about 3/4 inch before the "T" but not directly next to it, which line do I use, the "T" or the line that is about 3/4 inch before the "T"? I a bit confused because the manual shows the line right next to the "T" but mine is not right next to it, so which one should I use? Thanks
