Keeping it old school over here with my 85 civic with b series. So I can relate with this video some entry level people may find all of this very useful!! Cheers man !
Legend this info helped so much and I'm not even tuning , I'm just trying to find info on a prelude that has been Frankensteined . And this helped so much thank you !

This is what I've been searching all of the web for! I gotta ask this: I've got a P28-A52 that's been chipped, but I noticed that the J1 solder is not connected. It looks like it either broke or was cut. Is the J1 solder required for the ECU to run and not throw codes?
Have you had any experience with a PV1-A03 from the Acura Vigor? They have a 28 pin rom chip like the other OBD1 ECUs but I don't see the 4 pin data logging traces anywhere on the board. They have a unique code language similar to the NSX and Legend ECU that the current honda tuning softwares can't read from what I have learned on PGMFI (org) and through my own testing with BMI tune, chrome, etc.. A few people have had success but I haven't had any luck getting help from them. I have a .bin file and a XDA already extracted off of the stock rom.
I have a P04 ECU from a EG LSi jdm, that is OBD-0 (D15B2 engine) and the car is 93, so not all 92-95 are OBD-1 as you said. But nice video. Do you know if it's possible to tune a OBD-0 ecu? I opened mine and it has the space for the Eprom and everything, but my concern is for the obd-0 part. I don't want to make all the process of chipping it and don't find a tuner to make the tune because it's obd-0. Thanks!
I do all my own work including tuning I'm a huge advocate of Honda Tuning Suite it's a game-changer and its only gonna g get better in my eyes... the ultimate chip tuning software
@@diymike absolutely I 100% agree fueltech is the future I started with chrome then get Neptune then messed with bmtune now I'm sold on hts 4 budget-minded builds
@@diymike also I'm a long-time subscriber and big fan of the channel thanks for all the great content over the years I've learned a lot from your whole crew
My sitting car is hurting my soul as well. Lol. Great comment. I look to bust it out this summer. I’m married with children bud. It’s tough for projects. Great for life
Hello ; I recently swapped my accord 2.3 vtec 1999 from auto to manual transmission. All are working fine except rpm that is stuck on 5000 rpm. I bought a manual ecu from accord but unfortunately ecu is non vtec. The question is: can i use my vtec ecu on manual and solve 5000 rpm problem? If yes please tell me how, if not; then can i remove vtec components from auto and solder it on the non vtec manual ecu? Thx in advance
I wish I could pick up a D series rather cheap. People wanting like 900 bucks for a d15b7 swap around here now. I have a D16Z6 with 0 comp in 3 cylinders after replacing the head so it must be a warped block. I also have a trans that will pop out of second gear while making left turns - with a very loud bang. Ideally, I'd find a solid manual Z6 swap ready to drop in, but no luck in that department. Everything I find looks like it's been sitting in a garage for years, is known bad or doesn't include trans.
Hey there, I don't understand how you put a map on the chip, Could you shed more light on that? I just got my first Honda, a 2000 Si. Its got intake and exhaust done and is running a little rich on the P2T because of that.
I have a 5th gen prelude. I swapped the h22a4 for a H22A. I'm wanting to chip and put a map on it but not sure what would be the best OBD1 ecu to get. Any suggestions would be much appreciated. Thank you for the video
yooooo hahah i'm doing LITERALLY the exact same thing!!!! I have a 2000 sh, got the h22a in ----- P28 is the best, P72 is acceptable but p28 with hondate s300 is your best call!
@@whitechocolategangster Nice bro! Thanks for the info, I'm definitely going with the P28. Been looking, found one, I believe a reputable site, kind of pricey though but honestly they all are. Any suggestions on a good place to get one let me know man.
yep.... its 2022 we need to move on from it. thats why I am giving the information out for free. so when people start to tune more.... they will understand why I moved on from it.
