I know everyone will currently be in the process of choosing where to go to University. This time last year I was very confused about where to go to uni and took a long time to decide to come to Durham - this video shows how I made my choice and how you can make the best choice for you!

Exciting to find a Durham RU-vidr! I’ve just put it as my firm choice, what’s your opinions/stereotypes of the different colleges? X

@@dreamywednesdays6298 John's is lovely, I don't know much about it other than it's usually regarded as one of the most religious colleges x

Do you think that the work load for the business course is more than it is for other similar courses eg Exeter Edinburgh...

Very helpful video! I'm curious to know how much of psychology, anthropology and philosophy comes into play with the management and marketing course you do because they really interest me thanks :)

There has definitely been a lot of referencing to psychology this year, especially as I took the economics and psychology module and was particularly interested in exploring this field. In terms of anthropology and philosophy there are references but not a lot of detail, at least in first year, but you have some flexibility with your assignments and can therefore choose which areas to look at in more detail

such a lovely video! my firm is durham to study education studies with psychology at van mildert college! i originally applied to st cuthberts but got pulled. what’s the reputation for V.M??? i’m worried about moving but everyone in our college group chat is really nice. i originally wanted self catered for financial reasons so to be put in catered with no other option was disheartening. are you catered and if so do you like it? X

I don't really know anyone from VM but I haven't heard anything negative! They have really good social spaces as far as I'm aware and the accommodation seems nice. In terms of catering, I am catered and the food honestly isn't the best but the social aspect of it is great. I think it really helps in terms of getting to know people as you just spend a lot more time with a greater number of people than you would if you were in your own kitchen alone. The likelihood is with Cuths that you'd have be fully catered anyway as only some students are part catered. If you've got any other questions just let me know x

This video was really helpful! This is a bit of an odd question but I've applied to Durham to do History and Modern Languages (its my top choice), but I haven't received an offer yet, do you know anyone that received an offer as late as March? X

Glad the video was helpful! I know a few people who got them later on, sometimes it depends on departments etc so I wouldn't worry!

Any tips for choosing the right subject/course? I’m currently in year 12 and have booked a few open days but I just can’t decide what subject I actually want to do

I went on a lot of different talks on the open days. I think the key thing is don't put pressure on yourself and if you don't know yet, you can always consider a gap year
