Great tips ! My question is, my Faber Castell polychromos set is only 12 pencils, but my Sandford Karismacolor (that’s what they are called in Japan) are 30. Can I blend the two pencil types together to increase color choices, or is it better not to because one is wax based and the oil ? Planning in future to purchase more Poloychromos.
In your Patreon videos, do you explain how to train one's own eyes to recognise the composition of colours? Once that's known, mixing gets much more reliable. In general, videos on pencil colour mixing would be really helpful, plus you're very good at explaining.
😄 haha I’m glad that you think I am good at explaining things well. My Patreon videos are aimed to be tutorial demonstrations, but I do a lot of explaining various techniques through them and about color choices. I think explaining colors and mixing them is a more specific thing to learn and would be better taught from a course. I plan to implement different kinds of courses in the future.
@@gnostie That's my most significant challenge as well. No one seems to offer this. I'm guessing it comes from years of experience. But at 68, I'm running out of time!
