It would be fun as part of your sports series to see a video on prescription swimming or ski goggles. I have always wondered about those. My guess is that they would be for really strong prescriptions wearers.
Oakley also have a rose tinted lens which is also very good for driving. But I need to get a new pair and will consider these. Very few sunglasses are good for cloudy weather so I can highly recommend these types of lenses.
I actually filmed a section for this video about the Oakley prism lens, but it was ultimately edited out. I'll probably do a comparison video sometime. In essence, the Prism Golf lens is a lot darker and therefore good for golfing sunglasses. But our lens can literally be worn in all conditions for golf. The downside is that it doesn't perform well as a general purpose sunglass lens, whereas the Prism does.
Excellent video. It explains many concepts which are not otherwise available in other such videos. This one shall be my go-to video for choosing a golf glasses. You may also make a video on how to choose most appropriate glasses from various websites such as Oakley. The websites do not contain exact information. They provide details of models and at times do not even mention it’s for which sport
So rose tint, 40%, red mirror finish. How much further do you drop the Seg height and type of Varifocal do you recommend? Zeiss and Essilor account holder here. I am enjoying your channel! Thanks
Non-polarised is almost always best for golf. The reason is because polarisation reduces contrast and inhibits perception of moisture which is important to golfers
Very informative , I am looking to purchase a pair of glasses for golf, single vision. Could you give me an indication of cost please. I notice you are based in Preston and happy to visit your shop to discuss further
We ship them all over the world! Email me - rob@thespectaclefactory.com Just to advise, they are expensive and they do take a while to produce. But all of our clients who wear them, love them.
Yes they can be used for cycling, it's just they sometimes might not be dark enough when cycling into the sun. Obviously there isn't the same safety aspect when on a golf course (you would hope!)
A grey photochromic polarised lens would be ideal for this purpose, with a mirror coating if you live in a particularly bright part of the world. Perhaps I'll film a video about this in the future!
