Keep the rod/reel/line and hook relationship videos coming! Extra appreciation for the brand hardware insights, like solid hooks on berkley and rat l trap brands.
50 degrees in central Illinois today man I'm going nuts . Well my wife thinks I'm nuts standing out in the barn lot practicing with my new SLX DC no bird nest today so I'm making progress lol great information thank you
YES!!! With spring right around the corner, it’s the perfect time to hear your insights on rod/reel combos as well as techniques that have worked and also not worked!!! Love the content as usual!!!!! Thank you for everything!
Another great lesson! Lipless cranks were never my thing. I was fishing a top 100 with Mark Davis on the James River the year after he won the BASS Championship and he was slaying them with a lipless. I still couldn’t bring myself to pick one up. Maybe this spring will be my awakening. Thank you sir and have a good evening.
Please, sir... we want some more. These are my favorite videos, so feel free to do as many as you'd like. I take notes on all the info, will pause and research items in a separate Google search, and replay the important stuff that I want to remember better. For future topics, spinner baits would be good, jigs, worm techniques, but most anything would be useful. Thanks as always!!
I've always like some actual footage of lure types being demonstrated. One thing I like about lipless crankbaits, they cast really good, even into a wind.
A lipless is my very favorite kind of fishing. Favorite rod for throwing them is the Lew’s American Hero casting rod; just perfect for me. I like to mix up my retrieves; burn, yo-yo, or a combination is deadly around here. Way to go, Debo.
Debo, you are awesome. Thanks for this info, I needed it. My dad didn't fish but was great at teaching me other things. Glad your dad got you into it so you could share all this knowledge.
Rat-L-trap✔️ cotton cordell ✔️ these are two great options for someone getting into lipless cranks. They work well & don’t cost much! Could definitely benefit from your input on spinner baits!!! Great vid!!! 👊
Going to be 55 here in Central PA area. Lets hope we start seeing a lot more of these temps. Big fan of the Warpig after watching you use one in one of your videos. Went out and bought a few and had instant success. Keep up the great videos.
Took a few hours off work Monday and caught a few trout. Supposed to be 70 in East TN today but won’t get to wet a line. Hope your weather catches up soon!
Lipless crankbaits are my go to in the spring. I have a decent amount of luck following up with a spinner bait also. Lots of shad in my lakes, so I haven't put much time in with the whole red, spring concept. But I'm going to give it a good effort this year. Our local cooling lake opens March 1st, so that's basically the beginning of the season here. Cant wait. Only a few days away.
For me, when lipless fishing I like to go with a MH rod and use mono for the stretch instead of a softer rod with flouro. Aaaaanyway, I would love to see a tackle talk type video about bass fishing with spoons!
Great content! For me, I get the most out of any video (viDebo) when I learn, and this viDebo filled the bill. I would love more content like this or maybe even combined with application on the water for part of the viDebo. I’m game for more like this, but since you asked... I think covering spinnerbaits would be great. The “why’s” when choosing weight, blade size, shape, combo; trailer hook or not, trailer or not, presentation, tuning, etc. Thanks and... Go Hawks!
Picked up my first red eyed shad late last year and caught a few before it got too cold. Now I have an orange belly craw color on the way and I can't wait to use it!
I love red eye shad in red or tomato or orange ! War pig is great too but I don't change out my hooks and I know I should but I'm lazy lol . Good video and talk brother !
My red lipless cranks are all lined up tugging at their leashes. If the weather geeks are right might be able to get out this weekend. Great vid! Like the informational ones a lot👍. Glad you mentioned the war pigs. Been meaning to pick up a couple and give ‘em a try.
Love this type of video! They are great to sprinkle in with the fishing content! Your channel has always been a great one for instructional content, and this just helps solidify that.
After watching your videos last year I started throwing a lipless in the spring and caught some monsters in my community pond. This year I’m gonna try introducing red and see how that goes. Great video, keep it up!
Great job debo please keep doing these videos. It's good info that allows me to feed my addiction please do a chatterbait, spinnerbaits video the same way
These types of videos are great Debo. Plenty of info on lures, which rods, which reels, line, etc. Very informative. 6th Sense makes a great lipless that's not too expensive. And I like Seagear red label fluorocarbon. BPS just had it on sale for $7.49/200 yds. Thanks man. 🎣👍
Great vid! Made me remember why I spooled my Medium/Fast rod with Mono. Love tossing Lipless, squarebills, poppers, and other light topwaters with treble hooks on it!
My dedicated lipless rod is a sixgill fishing M cypress with a 7 speed reel and 15 lbs trilene sensation copolymer line....I was using it for top water rod, tried a lipless on it in a pinch and absolutely loved it, also does great as a square bill rod
Another great, informative Debo production!! Awesome as per standard... I can’t wait to start throwing lipless cranks here soon...gonna be great!! Would love to see a similar video on spinnerbaits...
Need to get into fishing these. I’ve always been a big squarebill guy and used to sub out a lipless with a flat sided crank for the tighter “wobble”. I’m gonna place an order for a few of these, hopefully get on them once this water thaws. Thank you man!
So much amazing information. I’m a beginner so I’m trying to get as much info as possible. I got a medium fast pole with a spinner reel. I would love to know more about how to use the different kinds of lures and how they are supposed to work/swim in the water. I like how you add in the actual footage of fishing. It gives a nice pov on how it’s done. Thank you.
Debo thank you for this video hands down from beginning to end you have answered every question I had especially the rod questions about the difference in types.
Love these focused videos on a specific method of fishing. I’ve been looking for insight on what setup to use for cranking - line/rod/ reel. Thank you for the info.
Love love love my Rapala Rippin Rap lipless baits! Can't forget the strike king red eye shad. I've been wanting to try the river2sea ruckus lipless along with the berkley war pig also. You don't hear alot of people talking Berkley when it comes to baits but they definitely offer some of the best baits for the money. Don't tell anybody but I like my choppo baits better than my river2sea whopper ploppers hehe. Take care bud!
Love that shirt!!! Getting amped up for lipless myself!! Can't wait to see what you think of 6th sense stuff when you try them! Can't wait to feel a bite again!!
Totally agree with all your preferences! Only difference is if I’m fishing a big weed flat I’ll prefer a longer rod (maybe 7’3) to have more leverage on the hookset on a long cast
Perfect timing! I just ordered the Curado K 5:1, Falcon 6.6 MH F and Seaguar Red 15lb. Hoping to step up my bass fishing this year and start with the cranking baits
It was 45 here in MI today, hadn’t seen the sun in forever, felt so good...now we just need this ice to melt and it’s FISH ON! Great content as usual my man! I’ve never swapped out hardware on my cranks before, but I’m definitely considering it now.
Just picked up a red 7’ m halo starlite pro rod to try out for my lipless and all other crank baits after watching ur review on the yellow halo rod can’t wait to try it out I’m in mi so we’re still rlly iced over but It looks like it’s gonna work great and I never would have looked at it twice if it wasn’t for ur rod review video so thank you Debo you the man
Have only tried the Booyah and Strike King RES. Booyah all the way! Red Eyed Shad seems to roll over too often, especially with the slightest bit of grass on it. Lost a nice one with the RES too, maybe it's those stock hooks! Good video!
Great video Debo! Another great option from Walmart but more expensive are the yozuri lipless, I have killed with em right out of the box. My favorite lipless of all are the 6th sense quake 70 though
Yo-yo all day. I always start reeling them but if they aren't wanting that always get em on the yo-yo. Like this style video thanks. Can't wait for you trying thr 6th sense lipless won't be disappointed.
