Nice video Jimmy. I've had my Zero 10X for at least 2 years, it has been rock solid for me!! I've been trying to get the 11X for months. I just can't get connected there, but absolutely a fantastic scooter company, and their scooters are in great value! I just can't get the one that I want, but in all it's been a good time I love it!!
*Came in today and my friend and I both rode **Latest.Bike** Scooter around for about an hour. Was lots of fun and didn't drain the battery much at all!*
Special thanks to REVrides for loaning the Zero E-Scooter line for us to test and review! We were not paid to make this video. For a complete write up check out our blog: gotscooter.com/what-zero-scooter-is-best-for-me/

I went with Zero10x, for one main reason: suspension, nothing beats that. Maybe Dualtron, but that's another price point. I live in a place which has lots of hills, so a dual motor helps me a lot. It goes fast enough, 55km/h on a flat road. I added nutt Hydraulic brakes, and a clamp against wobbles. It does fold, so no problem to take on car's trunk. I always ask other people to lift it for me though, as I have back injury... The reason why I am going with this scooter to begin with. To sum it, I love it, and I think I made the right choice! Just right, for me.
I picked up a FFR Horizon (which is basically a Zero 8) on Black Friday thanks to a Jimmy pointing it out as a good alternative to the discontinued Turbowheel Swift. So far pretty happy with it. I thought 22mph would be enough for me since I don't tend to ride faster than that on my EUC, but the scooter feels way less... dramatic?... at that speed and I feel like I could probably have pushed for something faster if I wanted to. Given how much I (don't) ride it though, I'm happy with the choice. Zero 8 gets my vote from a scooter noobie.
Greetings Jimmy and Andrew. Thanks for all Your tubes. I watched all Your videos. Very educational and very easy to understand. By the way quick question, I'm 5"2'. Do You think the Varla Pegasus will be a good fit?. Please let me know when You get a chance. Cheers Guys. Thanks again indeed.
crazy tech but i think i would still choose an euc because of the bigger wheel. gives me more confidence when going fast because you can roll over larger obstacles
The 10x sounded very enticing until you started talking about how the stem doesn't lock when folded, and how it may slide up. it just sounds like a big safety hazard that wouldn't make the risk worth the cost. I am however looking at the Nanrobots. Considering the D4 2.0.
Happy New Year! I like the Zero line of scooters. I think you made a great choice with the 8X. I have a Dualtron Compact which is another solid tire power scooter and love it.
@@freshlycharged upgrading from an Xprit 6" solid tires (350$CAD), the Xr Elite is very smooth and enjoyable. The breaks are the best part of it (being 550$CAD) it's very good. Id say the part i dislike is mostly the limit of 15.5 mph (Gps says 14.5 mph actually) when it goes to 15.7 mph (on the counter) it will automatically break for you to keep you around 15.5, sometimes it will drop to 14.7 and then go back up. That is very wierd, at least just stop the motor, don't break instead of me... I think I like it for the price, acceleration is nice and it goes uphills quite nicely (I'm 155 pounds). The slime prefilled air tire are a nice thing also, don't have to worry as much about punctures :) I'd recommend it to any new users for their first e-scooter. Other thing, there is no app/Bluetooth to connect with, you have what you buy. The cruise control takes 10 secondes to activate and doesn't tell you when it's activated
@@95mmarier I've had mine for about a few months now since I ordered it on Christmas but didn't get to use it much until this spring cause I'm also canadian, im loving it a lot! the things that I want improvements on are if it could at least show how far you gave gone, also it's kinda weird when the power bar is like changing when you go different speeds
He said the 9 has a 9 and half inch tyre, no its 8 and half inch. All the scooter shops in my city say that, anyway I'm getting the 9. I'd get the 10 if it wasn't so heavy, I wasn't aware of having to change hydraulic fluid though 😨
I have a new Zero 10X 52v/23Ah which I love and goes great. But right out of the box it had an unusual problem... there are 3 things that don’t work and I think they’re all related. 1. The electronic braking system (EBS) doesn’t work regardless of its P11 setting. 2. The power cut-off when braking doesn’t work. It has the Zoom hydraulic brakes. 3. The stop lights don’t work. The headlights and normal taillights work perfectly. Any suggestions from you on these issues would be greatly appreciated. I have contacted my supplier but so far they are not to sure what is the problem.
I have the 8 and 9, my buddy has the 10. The X line is over kill for us and draws too much attention. Not to mention they are heavy (I'm 140lb) I think the Goldie locks scooter is actually going to be the 9 for most, 10 for others. The X line is for more hard core enthusiasts, they are more of a "what the F is that thing" kind of machine lol
Agree with most of what you say except for the X line drawing more attention. The average person wouldn’t really see much difference between say the 10 and the 10X.
@@basincut100 Its subjective but if that doesnt sway you, then there is also the size of the X line. That will make you stand out, Especially the 10 and 11X. They are taller, wider and bigger in every way really. It puts me off personally
Hello I live about 25 miles from my work. Straight shot all the way. 19 lights on the roadway. I am looking for something at around up to 40-50 miles/H. One may two hills. I get out late and want to be seen as I head back home. I’m not rich and I am a 1st rider. What’s your recommendations? I am a bike rider/motorcycle rider
I have Zero 10. Best scooter you can buy in it's category, price is low if compare to other scooters with same budget. Looks impressive at night! Like F**ing UF0
They come in different models. This one is more powerful than the Turbowheel Lightning I've used before. This ZERO 10X is 60V with a dual 1200 watt motor and street tires. The Turbowheel Lightning I have is a 52V dual 1000 watt motor with off-road tires. You can get the Turbowheel Lightning in this power and tires, but currently it's out of stock at EWheels. EWheels does have a 60V with off-road tires.
looks like Rev Rides only carry VSETT and Segway now. maybe cause the ZERO scooters aren't as good or reliable? if not, can you recommend a reputable seller for ZERO?
I can't stand Solid tires. It feels rougher, and much less safe. I tried a Widewheel Pro, which uses solid tire, and I didn't feel safe on the solid tires. Sliding around for leaves, or sand, or any kind of moisture.
QUESTIONS rarely asked or answered! 1) A scooter might get dirty running in water poddles, mud, ...etc. How do you properly wash a scooter? 2) In colder climates, during winter, can a scooter be stored outside maybe during working hours without affecting the battery negatively? I am concerned that the battery might freeze and be non-functional. Can you address that? 3) Some cities have hill, some with steeper and tall hills. Can a scooter climb a steep, tall hill with a heavy person (300 lb) on it with damaging the motor or battery?
Would be more interested if it's not just one brand but at least several brands. Since same brand you gonna have some parts sharing and look similar even between different scooters. Also there's no perfect scooter for everyone. It would have to be a custom made one...
excellent video! Jimmy, we are Maike, a Chinese scooter brand which has more than 6 years experience in scooter producing. We are looking forwarder for working with a professional video producer. if you are interested in cooperating, please let me know, we could discuss more details. many thank you
Too funny! I use to think the same thing. I started as a Onewheeler and was about to go full blown in the EUC world. But then I got a taste of a high powered scooter. I still love riding a Onewheel and EUC, but high powered scooters are a unique experience. Would love for you to try some and see if it changes your mind.
I can’t believe he thinks the locking stem Matters at all? The scooter is too heavy to one hand it anyways, you want both hands on it to move it around anyways so I can’t imagine the locking folded stem matters at all.
thenzero scooter tires are shitty junk... this is the biggest problem along with wobble... you will get flat tires over band over again... and the know it but they dont care
@@dignanworldchampion By review, I mean testing the functionalities and give a personal appreciation of each. is it useful? are the numbers given by the manufacturer accurate or inflated? I can read the spec sheet myself. To me, anything resembling "If you are [...] then you need [...]" is a sales pitch
I would have liked to see him mention something like how the Turbowheel Swift that he reviewed before is very similar to the Zero 8 and the Turbowheel Lightning, also previously reviewed) is also a modified Zero 10x. By not mentioning the fact that the Zero line is sold by tons of people in different names (Apollo, Fluid Freeride, Emove, direct from Alibaba, etc), I think it comes across as more of a commercial for Zero than a real review. Just my $0.02.
Using this scooter for short commutes is the way to go, as it makes it really fun. ru-vid.comUgkxvyNuxpWiHTNypxG6nyqyf7ywc7Q16PDM Both the levels of speed it allows you to use are very fun, though 20mph can get pretty scary on bad roads. It makes a cool electric sound as it is accelerating. The battery life is also pretty impressive, as I can go anywhere around me within a ~10 mile radius and back home with a full charge. I expected the tires to feel somewhat like a toy, but it is legit, and has pretty good grip on surfaces. Braking on this scooter is also really fun, since you can even do a little drifting if you break hard. The wheels on the scooter are definitely very high quality, as they are wide and well sized. The entire scooter is pretty high quality too. I have fallen on it a couple times because I was being a little reckless, and the scooter still works perfectly fine, with some minor scratches on the sides. I found the brake lights to be very cool as well, since they flash when you brake.
