How to choose the right Battery for your Solar System and UPS in Pakistan

I am an Electrical Engineer and work extensively with BESS. Would like to add a few points to a very good video. 1) In lithium batteries calendar degradation is much more telling than cyclic degradation. For e.g. if I cycle my lifepo4 battery once a day in a solar application and it has 6000 cycles, that approximately 16 years, however a battery experiences degradation without any usage at all as well, that calendar degradation and if it has a design life of 10 years then in a solar application such as mine, I will never be able to use those 6000 cycles anyways. Therefore, design life is a much more telling metric when considering lifepo4 batteries compared to how many cycles it has. 2) Secondly, as to your point that when we should consider our battery dead or finished. Well, there is a clear answer and that is when a lead acid battery degrades to 80% of its nameplate capacity and in industrial usage that is verified every few years using a discharge test. For Lithium Ion (lifepo4 or otherwise), it is usually between 70-75% percent nameplate capacity. The reason for this estimate is that due to extensive empirical research it has been found that lead acid behaves very unpredictably when it has degraded beyond 80% of its nameplate capacity and so does lithium Ion when it has degraded beyond 70%-75% of its nameplate capacity. That is when it is the best time to discard these batteries for recycling. 3)Last but not the least, the C rate of discharge/charge also affects the capacity of the battery. Much more for lead acid due to Peukert effect and much less for lithium Ion (but still present). High Grade Lifepo4 usually have very high C rates compared to cheaper lifepo4 batteries.

They cost me 20-30% less but considering your different technology everything I would have gone with your power pack. Even if it hadn't made economic sense would have loved to buy yours just to support the cause and entrepreneurial spirit you guys gave. Also, when do you think you will be able to make a product on which you guys can give a warranty of over 5 years? That would be a killer deal for the Pakistani market.

My only concern is safety. Since lithium batteries fire up very quickly. Are these battery packs safety rated? Secondly, many manufactures use liquid cooling in these battery packs. Have you considered that?

Hi guys i loved ur v log.... nicely explained.... am from Karachi too.... felt happy to know that we have educated useful talent in this city too. Since u guys are good with batteries , Can u guys make battery for EV BIKES too.... or can u educate about the COOLING system for lithium battries , so they can be charged at higher amps. EXPLAIN per cell fuse wires , n why people here in pakistan cant make battries in different unique shapes....y they always go in cube shape battery pack....y not hexagon , round r S type design. One more thing.... dont make longer videos..... people have short time now a days..... distribute videos in different parts.....am very interested in ev bike especially their battries....so yes i did watched the whole video..... but generally people wont watch such longer videos, thus ur message wont reach to a lot of people. Wish u happy journey towards ur success.... may Allah make ur journey easy for u guys n ur brand.

I bought a lithium iron phosphate battery last month for my electric bike , battery was imported from china by some seller, i searched all the internet to buy battery pack & bought the best one available in the market right now, 60v 25ah battery at the price of 90k in September 2023. If i watched u guys before then i will definitely want my electric bike battery from u.

Excellent work. I have a suggestion that you should use LFP battery cells instead of normal Lithium ion batteries. LFP Cells have voltage of 3.2 Volts instead of 3.7 vols of normal Lithium Ion batteries. But LFP cells have a longer cycle life and is inherently more safe

Excellent work you guys are doing. But i have few questions and suggestions. You can add them to your FAQs on website. How you are ensuring thermal conductivity in cell enclosure to ensure heat dissipation? Secondly why you are not introducing 12V batteries which are very common for UPS in Pakistan? Third is your payment options are not good. You should integrate with a payment gateway so that online payments can be done. Also you can have your official store listed with Daraz etc. Fourth is that your website is not very good and needs improvement like more details like specs/data sheet etc. fifth, please increase your social media presence.
