To wrap up our series on filters we examine and listen to the role of the filter at various stages of music production and examine how the filter you choose for a specific task impacts your final productions. The three examples we look at are Synthesis/Synthesizers, Transition FX that sweep, and mix automation (adjusting a cut off frequency on an instrument or an entire mix to assist in build ups or break downs).
A music production is the end result of thousands of choices. The filters you choice is but one of these choices. It's important that you experiment and listen to the various internal DAW filters and external third party filter plugins you have to help you find and pick the right filter for the job. That's ultimately what this video is all about.
