Good video. Agree with your conclusion. I ended up in a K2 Mindbender mostly because it more or less fit out of the box. The Technicas and others were going to need some work. I’m an advanced skier and I haven’t felt any loss in performance with them though the walk mode helps mostly with Apres ski.
I've been skiing my entire life and I'm 70 years old. The question I have is why none of the ski boot manufacturers can't design a nice ski boot that is easy to put on or take off. Every ski boot I've ever owned has been so difficult to put on or take off I would get the impression my ankle is about to sprain or break. So WHY can't ski boot manufacturers come up with a design for a boot that is safe, comfortable, and easy to put on or take off?
@stephendulli6252, Have you ever tried a boot with a co-molded lower shell? This means the lower part of the boot has two different plastics and they typically put softer plastic on top of the foot to assist with spreading the lower shell, thus making it easier to get in and out. Examples of a co-molded lower shell would be the Tecnica Mach1 110, Salomon S/Pro Supra BOA 120, Lange LX 120. theskimonster.com/products/tecnica-mach1-110-mv/ theskimonster.com/products/salomon-s-pro-supra-boa-120/ theskimonster.com/products/lange-lx-120/
