Was looking for some bloody wicks advice but I think I found a reason to live. :-D How on Earth an absolute 10/10 woman like you is not wearing a ring? :-D
Hi, I'm using BW-910 Paraffin wax with LX wick type, 9.5 FO, 3drops of dey in 14 oz of wax and I use two size jars. 2.5" for 7oz. I'm getting some soot, flickering and mushroom built-up about an hour after into test burn my candles and 3" jar for 10 oz. I use LX ,16 in the 2.5" candle and LX. I haven't tried the LX in the 3" jar yet , but I tried zinc 52-32-18, HTP-12-12' HT- 104, 105, CD-10 and the flame 🔥 was ok until it started getting lazy and mushroom built-up in and hour or so in the burning test. Should I use bigger wick thanks these? Or what you recommend.
It does depended. Some pillar candles are designed to tunnel down down just leaving the outer edge of the wax. And some a design to melt the wax completely the whole way down. Once you have decided on which effect you want then you would choose the wax and the wick to go with that design by doing the a burn test.
@@sherivegasartistwhat wick would u recommend for a size 9oz straight sided jar, 10% FO and Coco apricot. I tried CDs and ECO socks. No luck. Any suggestions. That’s cause this is frustrating
I'm wondering if you can help us... my daughter's and I have tried making 8oz soy wax candles and the wicks burn down WAY to fast. They are pre waxes, and supposed to be the right size. We get maybe 1 to 2 uses out of it unless we pour the wax out below the wick... any ideas? Would we possibly be better off getting bulk cotton wick and dipping it in the same wax as the candles? The pre waxed ones just burn through too fast.
