LOL....no matter what you use.....you are most definitely putting pressure on your paint and people have been using all sorts of sponges and mitts for many, many years and on SHOW CARS as well and I never heard anyone talk about putting PRESSURE on your paint and that being a problem. Here's a hint guys.....if you have a good coat of wax on your car you can put all the pressure you want on your paint. Got it? On your site I just took a peek at you mention "delicate paint".....what the Hell is that? When we buy a car there are some that have "delicate" paint? NOPE!

You know what this short lady needs? An angled pole to wash the roof. I don’t want to drag out the ladder for a quick rinseless wash and I can’t reach the middle even with a ladder so I slap the mitt and drag it and I slap it too far I have to go around with the ladder and retrieve it. I want a DIYdetail one with cotton candy pads on it, but I’m ordering one off Amazon with the chenille pads to try out.

Another awesome video guys. That’s one of the things I really love about your company and ideology - you don’t have 3600 products that all do similar things and are confusing to sort out. Just a few products that do a great job at what they’re designed to do. Makes it much easier and less overwhelming for me as a guy who’s just getting into more serious detailing of my cars.

I love showing those "sponges will scratch the surface" people how wrong they are! Keep up the good work!

So I wash very tall vehicles. I was wondering If you guys know of a good wash Media to wash up high. I already fell off a ladder trying to do the roof of my semi.

To be honest i’ve never had a chenille wash mitt lose any fingers! I have mitts that are 5 plus years old

I use the big red sponge for rinseless wash it's better and covers a larger surface area compared to the massively over hyped over marketed Ultra black sponge which I also have used in rinseless wash. For traditional wash I use Kamikaze Black sponge it is far superior to the UBS which is very ordinary for a traditional wash other sponges and Wash mits

Thank you for the videos. Quick question: what happened to the cotton candy dream wash mitt? 😢. Got the legacy sponge in the cart ready to order.

Thank you for taking the time talking about science and technology behind the products. Thats always interesting and very rare. Most just speak superficially about products and processes. Keep it up.

I know red and black is your thing but personally I’d really love a lighter color combo to keep track of the dirt etc. I like just knowing my technique is working. Also I work in a somewhat dark garage and even with lights the dark sponge is hard to see. Options maybe 😊

Really informative video. I like how you guys take the time to sit down and discuss the design and applications of your products. I have not seen any other company talk about with media in such detail. I will continue to support your company not only because you have phenomenal products, but you teach us how to use them.

Had the chenille wash mitt to offset the big red sponge, and then the ultra black sponge still have and use. Like Yvan said technology evolves and I use the legacy sponge now its amazing.

These chat sessions remind me of my teenage years listening to older racers talk in the shop. The amount of knowledge passed around was priceless. In my opinion the rinseless wash is the most efficient method. You do not have to fill and clean out the foam cannon. You do not have to clean up the pressure washer cord. You do not have to wash and dry all those wash mitts too. You do not have to use a “drying lubricant “ either.

I’m a big fan of all the rinseless sponges Yvan’s developed. They all work amazing! Can’t wait to try the legacy sponge next!

Yes that cotton candy feels really nice. I purchased it with the nick kit. Is soooo slick when I use it with incredible suds. Be getting the legacy sponge soon. Great product 👍 and yes I will continue to buy and support you guys. You guys are the best!

You guys rock. I have a lot of hobbies and follow a lot of people/channels from various hobbies. And I’m very picky and can tell when someone knows what they’re talking about. I like how you dispel myths, myths I see other LARGE detailing channels still regurgitate. Yvan knows his stuff and I can tell his thinking is nuanced and comes from a place of true passion. I’m a very detailed observer and listener and I know when someone’s truly passionate. I consider myself a fairly advanced detailer hobbyist but Yvan you’ve taught me a lot. Keep the detailed explanations going! Nick is great too following in those footsteps. Love the history lessons too.

Awesome , pod cast I personally just love the sponge. When I’m not rocking a double flip the clay towel and sponge are in the bucket! Appreciate you both

Glad it’s been clarified that it’s the same material on red/black side. There was some review that implied that the black side was denser or that it was the side for soap and the red was for rinseless

A great video indeed, and i agree about the overwhelming choice of many products on the market, i just bought my first new car and trying to wash it without damaging the paint, just bought your sponge, never tryed rinsless wash, i am a little worried about this metod as all seniors in my family thought me the 2 bucket method, but i am sure that it will be a great addition to my slowly growing detailing collection! Thank you for an informative video!
