just reviewed this - this is the best intro to beat making video I've seen (among a lot of good ones on yt). I tried this and it works on Koala Sampler especially with equal chops instead of transients
When I was younger, I had someone show me this and I made few tracks on an MPC 3000 with this technique, but now (25 years later), I was struggling to remember what to do and how the sample should be captured in the first place. THANK YOU SO MUCH BRUH. You saved me so many hours of frustration.
i was the same way. it takes a fews days of watching videos to get a hang of it but once you do you start noticing yourself getting faster and faster. I personally use my MPC as a midi instrument in Logic pro. I cant stand the MPC software but the hardware is amazing.
Its regular tape. A little trick someone taught me. Being that those are the main buttons you use all the time It keeps the buttons from loosening and keeps the paint from fading over time.
Thin piece of regular plastic wrap then cover with Regular clear tape to seal. Keeps the buttons from breaking and getting too loose and keeps the writing from fading. 👍🏾

hey bro i have been following you for a good while ... got hthe most respect towards you poli popo bolo etc so you see i watch all you main characters... i have beenout thegame for awhile and lost track of a few tricks .. any way i ama newbie in respects to you guys .. ....i know how to chop but cant seem to get it from the sample edit to the track ... like you already had your track loaded with the 16 chops... can you please enlighten me on that.... iknow you have gone ovrit for the most.. my issue is my stuffs been put awy for coming on a year. so thats why what seems obvious to you is not so for me.. once again i apologise.

Cool, but I can’t figure out how to get to the automation page that you start at before you “tune it” or whataver (make it harder to play on with other instrument imo)
So everyone I find a sample it has some weird timing where I can’t loop it perfectly so slicing it into equal regions doesn’t quite work.. are my options to time stretch, pitch up or down, and or fill the odd space with like a sound repeat that sounds like a skip but a good kind of skip..?
Hi, I cut my choops, but when I try to play them they are running in background without them stopping when I press another pad. can I make it when I press any pad, all the rest will be disabled?
Thank you for this video, but I just can't find a video showing how to record the sample from a turntable or a phone and how to ditect and set the right tempo before sampling, please help. Most people that show how to chop already have samples loaded, thanks in advance!
You won't find a video with all of that in it. You will have to look at a few different videos from a few different people. Not everything you want will be all in one video.
Nice video! But I do mines in the reverse way. I lay down my drum pattern first and then I play the chopped sample(s) on top of the drums or afterwards. I guess it's easier for me that way but it's good to have or know about an alternative. Thanx for the gems.

Trying to add 3 sample to one Pad directly from browser. First from Sampler and second from Wharp directly from browser. Problem is when I have 2 different Hats with the same name, mpc tells me that Hats exist 😔😔😔😔😔😔😔
