This series is by far the best explanation of the MPC on the Internet. Akai can’t do this because they can’t see it from the perspective of a completely new user. Thank you so much for your efforts to make everything so clear.
@@CREATEEDUCATEINSPIRE yea bro do u have a donation link or something cause I just like to show love back to people who take time out of there day to apply knowledge on anything dealing wit the MPC. And I’ll be wating for tht hi hat roll on different notes and how to do a mix down on a finish beat. Thanks bro
So many gems! There is so much in the MPC, this breaks it down very well. Although I'm not a complete newbie to production, I'm just getting started with my Live 2. Thanks for this video!
This is by far the best MPC guide I've seen, much better than the videos from AKAI. Not only because you can explain things very comprehensively but - you seem to be the only to understand how important these overlayed marking frames are. Everybody else is just tapping here and swiping there and I was constantly pressing the rewind button. Thank you!
Akai needs to pay this man. I've looked all over for classes, and even contacted Akai to no avail. They referred me to RU-vid but, the info is not as clear this. Thanks.
8mins in and I already have to say that your approach to explaining has got me understanding more than from previous tutorials. This is the first time I've understood not only the difference between programs and track, but also how they are connected and how you use them together. It's really useful when you say how you use them, as well as edit samples and warp samples.
tried MANY other channels until I landed on yours and man. You're good at this, thank you for the time that was put into this. You've unlocked my brain into using my Live2.
This is best Workflow overview tutorial I have seen on the MPC. Thanks for doing such a masterful job. You are well on the way with your goal to educate, inspire and also stimulating creativity. With the quality of work you are producing your viewership will definitely increase with time. Don't worry if you build it, they would come😀Thanks again for the video.🙏
I really appreciate the kind words, and you supporting the channel! I’ll keep making these as long as they help out the community and help people understand how to be more creative:)
I just bought a MPC Key 61 as a first time MPC user and I am in the weeds with it. Kind of. It’s similar to other things to an extent. The way things are sequenced/tracked is throwing me off, though. This helped a lot. Thanks.
Thank you for explaining the programs, tracks and sequences right off the bat. I feel like literally no tutorial on this fucking platform has done that 😂 it’s actually unbelievable, so thanks.
I'm new to this Mac world and I'm so thankful that I came across your video! Best tutorial hands down out there! I just liked commented and subscribed! Thank you!
Thank you!! I just pulled my MPC out of the case it’s been sitting in for a year because of the learning curve lol. I’m determined to learn and use it .
Ok... Im impressed - ive had a MPC for two months and watched tons of vids etc and i just learnt about 6 more buttons i had no idea of - like i can pan specific pads? Thats perfect!
@@CREATEEDUCATEINSPIRE the bit I found so useful was your explanation of the ‘monitoring’ options - In, Auto, Merge etc. I have never understood these until now.
Thanks a lot, I'm 61 yo, this machine is difficult to use for an old newbee. The manual is useless... I was strugglling to understand the basics, you helped me a lot. I was using a lot of hardware in the studio, but needed something to play live without all the hassle of unplug, carry, plug, unplug, carry back, plug again in the studio... Being used to 1 button one fonction, the mpc is puzzling my brain, but with time I should do it.
Thanks for watching and hope it helped. Im working on a MPC course that will take people from knowing nothing to experts. stay tuned and thanks for supporting.
Thanks man. I appreciate you and your approach to teaching. I got a lot out of this video. And it was precisely what I needed and it was in my language. Looking forward to seeing more of your content. Blessings. I did need some espresso and still do.
This is an excellent series. I've had my MPC One for two weeks now and have been struggling to understand almost everything about it. This video goes a long way to clear up a lot of confusion I am having. I have been bouncing around various tutorials on RU-vid and attempting to work through the manual but did not seem to be having any breakthrough moments. until watching this. Thank you.
Fantastic. Really helped me. I have a Deluge, which is another awesome beatbox, but the Akai is a very different! But I'm slowly learning it and loving it
I've been an MPC One user about a year and a half, watched most of the videos, have the manual and the one from MPC Tutor. This is a really refreshing take on an old-hat topic, and I'll definitely be managing from the Channel Strip more often now, thanks!
Thank you for demystifying how to navigate the MPC. I was trying to do it all through trial and error, and kept hitting walls. I somehow managed to import some drum one shots and sequence them into a beat, but that's as far as I got (with much hair pulling and gnashing of teeth). I've been producing for some years now and have owned a lot of hardware as well as using DAWs, and can usually find my way around. The MPC definitely has it's own way of doing things. It's starting to make sense, now. Time to watch the rest of your Masterclass!
dude. this was a big help. there were a couple places where i wanted to know more instruction but you have a way of explaining that makes sense. 333 am in st louis
Thanks for the kind words. Im working on a 2 week MPC bootcamp course, is that something you might be interested in? join the list for updates. createeducateinspire.com
I bought the MPC and had it in the corner for a year, asking myself ... those questions, But your video is Awesome !! Your video has inspired many of us. Thanks ... 😎
Firstly, thank you so much for taking the time and effort to produce such excellent content - may your subscriber base grow and multiply 100 fold in recognition of your outstanding work 😊😊👍👍. Secondly, on a personal note, this Masterclass series has rekindled my use of the MPC One I have which has been gathering a thin film of dust over the last few months...until now...she's back and rearing to go 😊
That’s awesome, it’s such an amazing device even though it can be pretty overwhelming at first. Many more videos to come, and thank you very much for supporting
You are AMAZING!!! I paid for lessons and was just confused. Watching you explain made so much sense. Going to try to get better on my MPC 2024 is the year🎉
I've learnt great stuff from your later videos and even though I'm no rookie I just have to watch the whole series to see what other tips I can pick up!
1:30 minutes in and I already like your pacing and explanations better than other tutorials I've come across. That's something when the difference is obvious that quick. And yes, i actually do have my expresso, with the machine on standby!
A well earned sub, my friend. I’m new to the MPC (and new to music production in general). One of the best tutorials on youtube. You don’t gloss over stuff too quickly. Thanks for your efforts!
Like many other commentors here, I've had my MPC Live 2 for a while and couldn't grasp with workflow and lay-out. I'm coming from an audio DAW background and the MPC was completely alien. Yours is the best video I've seen! It's the appropriate length with just the right amount of detail. In 26 minutes, you helped me grasp what dozens of other "hours" of videos just overly complicated - including the Roland Cloud Academy. Very well done sir!
as someone pondering whether or not to pick up an mpc, I think this was the best video giving me an idea of the (in)famous mpc workflow I've seen! Thank you!
I remember when I got my first MPC years ago. Took me quite a while to get used to the AKAI workflow. Still learning new things years after 😅 Can‘t wait for EP2 🙏
Dude ! This is good. Really, really good. No bs digressions. Just the facts. And you didn't skip anything either. I thought for sure that you were going to blow off talking about the main program output. But you came back and addressed it. It answered the one question that I had, which was whether or not you can put a compressor on the stereo output buss. Clearly, you can. Thanks a lot. Really helpful even though I don't own an MPC yet. This made it much more likely that I will buy one despite Akai's recent debacle with the under-powered MPC one update. Thanks loads
Great info ! Excellent teaching. I must admit: I used to be intimidated by the MPC workflow. However your video clarifies things by opening a lot of "secrets" which quickly become "skills" that I can now use right away WITH CONFIDENCE. Thank you so much for sharing.
