Yes it does not make sense but it depends...I've been working with one company for two years and when I became pregnant I had to leave because it was a physical risk to the pregnancy. Since then I could not find a job at all and we are currently in the process of dealing with it 3 months into the pregnancy.

Thanks for the expository information on this but I think there is still an ambiguity which is knowing whether the MATERNITY PAY is/isn’t a PUBLIC FUND despite being paid by the GOVERNMENT. A new video on that will be appreciated.

Pls does this SMP apply to all NHS trust or does it depend on a particular NHS policy Like I knew someone that work with NHS ,she started work in June 2021,and her expected date of delivery is May 2022 and the trust is saying she is not still eligible, but by calculation according to wat u said ,she has even worked 33wks,and still have 15weeks before her due date What can she do pls?

Hi, Esther Your video has always helped me withy personal queries.. Probably I would have qualified for SMP with my employer. But guess what? After my VISA I was told to hold on for some set of Nurses to make a Cohort. So I got pregnant during the period and missed fee weeks of service. But with this information, I know inshAllah I will be qualified for Maternity allowance after 8 months of working. Thanks a lot sis.
