This inflatable rib boat was waiting for me all the way in Tampa! 4 hours later she was on her way back home! This boat was just waiting for the opportunity to be showcased properly. i have just got a rib boat ,,10.5 brig 2008 ,,i am 70 and never had one before ,,i paid 500 bucks canadian ,,its gonna be a learning curve for me ,,and you guys are my teachers ,,first how do i store this in winter our side ,i live in canada

Damn bro you drove all the way to tampa for that boat! Hope it was a great deal! Just picked up a 1999 Caribe with a 25 hp johnson for $1k.. going to need a lot of work though.

Be careful but you can use muriatic acid and it shouldn't hurt the hypalon. It's a tedious process but you have to put several coats little by little and then rinse eventually it will eat it away

Hi, i Have the same boat. While towing it up from Mexico to Michigan I picked up a piece of steel in the left pontoon, tearing a 6”x12” L shaped hole in it. Yikes! Where can I get that much hypolon fabric and glue? Also, are there videos available that might assist one for such a nasty patch? Thanks, Dale

Hi there, Ingve from Norway here. I have a Italian made Capelli 2008 model, the rub rail used to be blue but has really lost its color. Are there any way to bring back the color to this one?

Great stuff, how much do you pick up these ribs for. I would like to fill a container and ship a few to Ireland, is the bleach a particular strength or is any household bleach ok to use? The rub rails on my old Lomac are covered in mildew I will try your methoid tomorrow, thanks for the videos. I feel a trip to Florida is on the cards next month.

He owns a hypalon shop so its his specialty. He also knows that they are basically unsinkable. They do need a little tlc and eventual repars, but one can find gems on craigslist and then take them to him to fix up.

funny bout bleach , took staight bleach clean bottom of mine , i still wear those as reminder of SACRAFISE to get that boat squeeky clean

The reality is that sometimes you have to use more aggressive cleaning tactics because of the condition of the boat. Being safe does not produce the results I'd like. And as long as you properly neutralize the tubes with a neutralizing ph balanced soap you should be okay. Keep in mind once you put UV protectants on it it'll act like nothing happened

@@AlfredMontaner you're ruining your boat cleaning it with so many chemicals.. especially with bleach.. which is probably the WORSE thing to use on an inflatable... regardless how you use it!
