The examples of the equipment were solid, but BRO, WRAP IT UP! You start explaining something and just settle into this long winded diatribe as though you are explaining the concept of a wheel or lever to a caveman. I literally nodded off and dropped my phone on my chest which startled me awake. Cut the length of video by 2/3 and actually thing about what you want to say before hand instead of just turning on the camera and blathering on till your truck runs out of water for the equipment!
Or perhaps it’s you that doesn’t understand that a quarter of a million people have watched this video in less than a year. And since my dislike to like ratio is 3.7% I’m satisfying the audience as a whole, not one random guy’s preference Maybe you don’t understand that I’ve been teaching this stuff to literally a couple thousand folks in the last couple years at my class. What I know and you don’t (since you’ve had a RU-vid channel for 2 days, no videos, and no subscribers) Is that people all over the world with varying levels of knowledge are going to watch this video. And so, instead of answering a ton of questions in the comments section for the next 5 years, I try to be very very thorough and cover every possible thing I can. Since my business is going to do over 5 million this year, and my RU-vid channel pays me over 1,000 a month, I’ll just keep doing what I’m doing. Thanks for the feedback tho 😎
@@southeastsoftwash4020 you do you man, but I think he has a point. kutos to you for your success, although we do live in a generation of instant gratification. shorter videos will get you more views and returning viewers. in turn more money from youtube. Dont gotta do 3 min videos yet the 20min kinda turns people off. that guy wasn't too polite about it but he has a point, ya know? Im in college and marketing/media classes stress this truth! keep up the good work. love the info
@@michaelkunka160 there is a place for short videos. And I’ve got plenty of those. There’s also a need for full length content. My main objective isn’t growing RU-vid channel, but growing my main business. If a dude is and just about making vids, then yes you are right. If your trying to dominate a industry then long form content is going to play its role.
Extremely well done. Answered questions I didnt know to ask yet. Appreciate the instructor demeanor instead of the street thug homeboy presentation. Very professional.
Well, as a professional troll, I feel attacked. Great job though! I was looking for some good info for my driveway and you hit everything I needed to know.
Very nice video, very informative and detailed! Been thinking about getting into the pressure washing business but I don't have a truck or van to get started and don't have a whole lot of money to just buy a truck, is there another alternative or what would anybody suggest? Please and thank you!
A small trailer ($700?) will get you into business. Put a hitch on your present vehicle and get out there. Plow your earnings back into the business, put the customer first, and remember that doing small jobs well will open doors to bigger things eventually.
with the new tips, is the old surface cleaner basically good as new? I don't understand why you'd get an entirely new surface cleaner if you can just replace the tips on the old one.
Thanks for a great video and awesome material on this channel. Quick Question, you mentioned the clean water act and controlling run off. How would you deal with run off on the driveway that you demoed in this video seeing as it slops right down to a road?
Do you use Southern drawl for a surfactant in your pre treatment on concrete driveways? If so, do you just add about a cap full (per gallon of SH) so you don't get too many suds? There are so many different surfactants out there people recommend such as Slo-Mo and Snotmenade. Thanks Cody.
It really only takes you an hour and half to do all that pressure washing? I need a ball valve because my problem is going back to rinse it off but also clean it because its settled back down
Listen, enjoyed and appreciated the video but you should seriously consider editing out some of the parts where you get a bit long winded about nothing in general.
Haha "if you're a troll leave a comment" I just experienced my first troll yesterday on my Facebook ad. He thought I photoshoped my roof cleaning before and after pics. It's hard to stay professional sometimes.
One of the best (and actually informative) videos I have seen. Thank you for not being one of the countless masses that treat a video as an infomercial for selling all their products and courses. I know it is an older video, but damn. So much better than the rest.
I learned this the hard way. I used a surface cleaner to do a whole driveway and then went back and washed the dirt off. Well it took longer because the dirt had settle back. Now I do it in sections and its a lot easier. This is a great tip for anyone do this out there.
How to pressure wash 101: Step 1: park on someone’s grass Step 2: put some green lense glasses on and getter done Step 3: tell the customer what’s up before they do
As someone who has only power washed his home with a wand I'm very impressed with you knowledge and overall professionalism. I will be changing to a surface cleaner, particularly on my pavers. Thanks for taking the time to make this
I have been a pressure washing contractor in the Northeast since 1988. Although it is now more of a sideline play money thing I still try to pay attention. Recently my son has finally started to express interest in this field. Sometimes dad‘s explanations and speaking mannerisms don’t exactly come out right so I’ve tried to find him some RU-vid explanations. Sir, you do an outstanding! Job showing and explaining your equipment, your solutions, your methods and the reasons why. If I had had you to teach me back in the early days you would’ve saved me a lot of headaches. Hopefully you can do the same for my son? Thank you for your well thought out and put together videos. Aqualazer Tim
Great pre inspection tips and explanation of how you do what you do from beginning to the end. You definitely need to find any problems and record them, via video and/or photos and notify the owner. You have a new subscriber.
Thanks for this video man. Wow!! You answered a ton of questions and gave some great tips for beginners and intermediates. I’m trying to get a 4 GPM unit right now so I’m really glad that’s what you were using. And it worked great! So I appreciate that. Definitely saving this video.
How do you keep chemicals that run down the driveway from going into the street, hence possibly going down the drain down the street? Also what's a good way to find the low spots on a surface that looks flat? And lastly, can you just wet the grass outside of a sidewalk or driveway prior to using the pre-treatment and it'd be covered in the aspect of being safe if a little overspray got onto the grass? Great video! I'm starting out and am watching as many videos as I can and yours is pretty thorough. I only have a 3.5 gallon 3,800 psi machine to start with, knowing I will need something better later down the road but that's what I have. Thanks
I didn’t think I was gonna watch this all cause I’m on the fence about starting pressure washing but it was so engaging that i watched it all. He literally covered almost everything i need to know about maintaining gear/equipment, what gear to get, how to not damage property, how to repair damages, how to route water flow, settings for equipment, tips and tricks, and it’s all necessary information.
I love and respect the fact you actually take the time needed to break everything down. As a new entrepreneur in the pressure washing business this what was needed.
Absolutely the BEST concrete driveway pressure washing video on RU-vid - Great Job and THANK YOU! Extremely professional facilitation of the entire cleaning process!
You should do a how to take a before and after picture video. It would be useful for a couple reasons, you could throw a jab in there. I swear it is the hardest part of the job for me, my pics are bad.
I just started my own pressure cleaning Business in Australia, love your set up im running a small trailer atm but Im aiming for your type of set up..Nice ;)
Thanks for the info. Very informative. I just expanded my business to include pressure washing so videos like this definitely shorten the learning curve of the finer points to the art.
This is probably the most informational video for pressure washing like this I've seen. Who cares how long it is because if it's teaching/informing more info is better than too little.
Thank you for the video! This helped me see that there is much more to pressure washing concrete than what I initially thought. I’m currently doing neighborhood pressure washing with my beat up Honda 3.6 GPL and a small surface cleaner, but looking to get a modest setup (less than what you have), but that will allow me to more effectively clean concrete. Thanks again!
A TROLL?. $400 for an hours work pressure washing with some chemicals is NOT trolling especially when your work doesn't look all that at the end is what we would class here as a complete rip-off. You are the sort of man who would rip his own granny off and sleep well each night.
Appreciate the knowledge brother! Bout to order a BE 20inch and was a little nervous about running one with at 4gpm.. this sealed the deal! and I know what to expect and what tips to use! Thanks again! Hopefully I can catch one of your training's one day, and get me a badass skid!
did you ever order teh surf cleaner (20"). are you happy with it and which tips worked best for concrete? i assume 25025. i am looking at a BE 4gpm 4000 psi press washer. not cheap but great unit
😂😂😂 Looks like a water spout behind you at 1:08..... Coty, I dont think you guys fully comprehend how many lives you've affected. I'm 44, and married with three young daughters. In 2013 I nearly broke my back while deadlifting, and for the last 10 years Ive been a stay at home dad. I literally prayed for God to show me a way to provide for my girls, and a few days later I started running across softwashing and pressure washing videos. As of now, I've already purchased most of the equipment to plumb out my trailer, bought and LLC and insurance, and I'm about to sell my Challenger to stay afloat while we get moving. I never in a million years would've imagined myself being capable of running my own business with a busted back. Thank you, Coty! You guys on here showing men how to create wealth is an absolute ministry from God..... You're saving households from homelessness..... Thank you, brother! My girls are my life, bro. Thank you!
Great detail in video. Why did you slightly tilt the surface cleaner each time you started it? In this case in order to keep the runoff on the property, do you hose it into the yard and just dilute a lot? Thank you.
That shaking on the surface cleaner SHOULD NOT be there. It should be smooth as butter, don't know what exactly the issue is, when that happens to me its because there is debris stuck in one of the 2 tip on the surface cleaner
I've been in lawn/landscape for awhile, picked up a semi-pro pressure washer a couple years ago and did a few jobs. Decided to push those services more this year and just ordered a 4gp/4000psi, 20in surface cleaner, and some other goodies. Would it be wise to also invest in a softwash setup asap as well? Or will downstream injecting work for pretreatments, housewashes, etc for awhile?
Awesome video. What type of pressure washer hose do you have? My 1 wire is much stiffer and a little more difficult to manage. Got some Southern Drawl in that SH mix.
Hi, So we have a blasting company and we mobile blast concrete and it's a pain in the butt. If you wouldn't mind can you send me a link to the chemical used and that yellow piece of equipment. Greatly appreciated. We have a regular 3.2 gallon min pressure washer will this work or is 4gallon a minute minimum?
whats better 3 jets at 25 degree 4000psi 4gpm or 2 jets at 15 degree 4000psi 4gpm? my unit its 4000 psi 4gpm and one of the cleaners is 4gpm while the other is 5gpm max.
Another great video. About how much would you say your charging per square foot? In my area, I usually charge around $0.10-$0.12 per square foot. If I pre-treat and post-treat, that cost would likely go up to around $0.15 per square foot. Your comments are always appreciated.
check out homewyse . com . It's a website that tracks costs for residential services such as power washing. My current city/zip is about $0.04 higher than I average and my last city/zip was $0.02 lower so it can give you a starting point for pricing in your area.
Very informative. I learn every time I watch one of your videos. Thanks for sharing. You should do a business kit that you could sell for those not able to get to you. I would buy it.
Where are you located at in Alabama? I'm in the panhandle of Florida real close to the Alabama line and would like to shadow you or ask you questions as I am wanting to start my own business doing this full time.
Troll: Leaving comment. Great info! I really appreciate all the videos I’ve watched of yours so far. I’m 38 and was looking for a business to start that I’d enjoy and for some reason, this seems like a job I’d enjoy. Satisfying cleaning without too much effort or thinking. I’m just hoping it’s not too hard to break into once I’ve got the equipment. Time will tell. Maybe I’ll vlog it.
Awesome video. I would have liked to hear a bit on hose management but that can be easily learned after a couple jobs for efficiency. Will need to get a pic set for those clogged tips and a couple extra tips for safe caution
Big fella! Thanks a whole Lotta bunch. This video is great for any level. Novice or experience. I learned so so much. You didn't any secrets. How do I know. You went in detail. Details are needed and necessary to help the guide the new and reiterate to the old. Thanks
This is a great video. This video is a teaching video. I found this video very helpful and in depth look on how to do this job. A lot of people don't give this much info so you then have to look for more video on this subject. You pack it all in one video. Great job!
I'm NOT a troll :) But I DO want to say what a GREAT video, and THANK YOU! I've got a 1500', stamped concrete driveway that needs doing, and this has been a big help! Thanks again.
A hotter mix or a pressure cleaner with more gpm is going to run A LOT more efficient! You can literally cut your time in half and do one pass instead of two.
