For SH and any oxalic acid you’ll be spraying for oxidation - You want a half mask APR respirator with yellow banded combination HEPA filters. They’re pink and have a yellow band around the base. 3M or Honeywell are the most common where I’m at

Hey man love your videos there’s one technique I use for the downspouts I put contractor bags to collect the chemicals then dump it out to the street to prevent damage to grass or plants

Same for me I'm starting a new company myself this is just something for the side that I can get my son interested in to do something during the summer when he's out of college maybe take it over one day and do it for himself and make a decent living

Ladder stand-off arms will stabilize the ladder - making it safer, and at the same time decrease the chances of marks or dents on the homes gutters. *Little tip from a pro in Canada

I usually bag the downspouts for the initial roof wash application. Then hook the drainage back up and rinse thoroughly. Have had no plant damage. I take the runoff and use it to kill weeds and junk from growing on gravel driveways.

I’m a roofing contractor and bought the Little Giant Hyperlite Sumostance extension ladder. It is by far the best investment I’ve made in safety. There are outriggers that not only level the ladder on any terrain but also widens the base by about 3-4’. It is expensive, but you only cry once. Trust me it’s worth it.

For a new house washing business, what is the recommendation for starting the process of different mixes? Your truck setup allows you to alter the proportions on the go, but what should someone do without that full system in place? Switching between vinyl, brick, shingles, and concrete would mean having a lot of different premade mixes in gallon buckets, right? Or, is there a smarter way to have the mixes for a beginner who doesn't want to appear like they are struggling?

I've worked for softwash platoon out of Chester Pennsylvania, got my certification in Florida, used a lot of equipment from softwash systems, kinda pricey. Currently work for Pennwash out of west chester. 4 years been softwashing , couldn't ask for a better career

I work as a Paramedic, also have my own mowing/landscaping service. On the ambulance we know when people are power washing, get a few "fell from the ladder calls". I had one yesterday, guy was fine with some scratches. Now you got me thinking that doing power washing may be a service to add.

Hey boss I was looking for any advice I do roof treatments in Jacksonville Florida I have never Been able to apply the chemical and then just walk away for the rain the roof looks worse then it did when I showed up after applying my SH soap and water. I don’t know if it’s because it is so hot and humid in Jacksonville Florida the process is not working the same I am always having to go over every single with my pressure washer and use pressure to remove black stains clients are not going to wait a week after they pay me $1000 to see if the rain lifts these stains any suggestions that could help out.

Thank you for the info. I've been doing softwashing for a couple years now. Once in a while I'll get a concrete barrel tile roof that is exceptionally dirty with organic growth. I use a hot mix 5% or so. It doesn't always disappear immediately with that mix. It does kill it. Color changes from green to orange. Should I mix hotter or is that good? Any pointers would be helpful. Thank you for your videos. They've been helpful in my journey and business.

hi I usually remove the moss with a brush and blow the ceiling and clean the gutters and put moss kiler powder on top .. .. to do your step I would have to first do everything I usually do skipping the step of applying the powder and then apply the soft wash method?

hey bud, i know this vid is like 3 1/2 years old, great vid btw, but i got me thinking something and i'd just love to have your opinion on this. So we allways be watering the plants and grass to protect them from the mixture we be using. Works great enough, but i got me thinking about how perhaps we can 'take it up a notch', i know it'll cost just a lil' bit, but it's not that expensive. plant 'food'. like plant 'vitamins'. If we were to make another little extra tank with a mix containing plant 'food', like with concentrated plant fertilizer and stuff like that, and we use that mix on the plants and grass. wouldn't that just give them another extra little life boost and have even less risk of impact when we be using a hotter mix? i mean in general, on let's say a 3% mix, just watering the plants is good enough. But i've had some seriously badly kept houses to be done with loads of cr*p on the roofs, including chunks of moss. I've been having to do quite a more potent mixture, and sometimes even had to resort to a special chemical. Now i haven't had any real issues with leakage on plants, but i have seen some plants with some leaves that got just ever so slightly affected. Now maybe that's just me not doing the job 100% enough in sufficiently watering down the plantlife. However, i'd rather just eliminate the risk from like 95% risk free to 98 or 99% risk free to plant life, so it gots me thinking would adding some plant fertilizer help boost the plants? What is your thought on this? i mean i know we ain't landscapers or garden maintenance, but well, wouldn't that be like a worthwile step?

The wand you are pre wetting with is it running from your pump or is it the pressure from the house? Didn’t know if it’s ran from your truck or house? Looks like it’s got good pressure...
