These products work well, but I've found that the Dupont Motorcycle Showroom Shine and a handful of microfiber towels works even better. It's safe for pretty much every surface (except the seat), the teflon in it keeps things from sticking which makes it easier to clean the next time, I get no water spots on my black wheels like I used to, I use it on my helmet and visor... Plus it's cheap and I only have one product to use, I haven't used water in a few thousand miles and my bike still looks brand new. I do still use the Maxima chain products
I've been using S-100 products for years & wasn't aware that Maxima made all those products. I'll have to give them a try them. I really like that Air blower. I've been using a leaf blower for years which is better than nothing.
Maxima products are awesome, I use/d them all. Love the blue can of chain cleaner, and their silver can of chain guard. Also, they're biowash works really good, and smells GREAT!
Why wouldn’t you use the MPPL to remove water/moisture from the chain after you wash the bike and hose it down? Using the MPPL and then spraying the bike down seems counter productive.

11 people think Van is not helpful. I think that's ridiculous lol. Van, literally is the man. So far all I do is spray my bike with matte paint cleaner from chemical guys and wipe it down. My bike luckily never gets crazy dirty
Hey Brian, the Maxima Chain Wax isn't white. I personally use these products and their great. The Chain Wax is a honey colored it's very clear and really doesn't add any color to the chain.
Fair enough but it is does not get that crystal clear result that I prefer. Both products are excellent IMO, hard to go wrong either way. Thanks for sharing. - Brian Van
Ummm I applied MPPL and maxima chain wax and Idk if wax is like this but my chain after 3-4 hours of drying is still wet/oily am I doing something wrong??? Cause I heard maxima wax is suppose to dry up and become a thin film of wax

I’m looking for something I can use on a cbr1000 matte black and I’ve been kinda lost on what to use to wash it or something like that sc1 or speed wax in between washes .. would the bio wash work also ? or other products you recommend on any matte finish from factory colors. I have been using the Speedwax on our matte finish helmets and it does a great job. No reason I can think of not to use the Biowash to clean the bike. If you are concerned use a little on a test area. - Van

It is always a good idea to clean and lube the chain after you wash the bike IMO. If you have a chain clean brush and chemicals it only takes a couple extra minutes to do this. I recommend cleaning the chain before you wash the bike and lubing the chain after you have the bike washed and dried. - Van
Agreed, but it's my go to 13k miles on the chain too lol, but hey is there a milage you recommend for chain replacement or just when it's stretched out of spec on the swingarm

Yes Sir the SC1 is amazing on matte finishes. I used it on all of the matte finished parts on the bike. You could use the Speed Wax as well, however the SC1 does a better job on the matte stuff. - Brian Van

Brandon Nixon I'll look into it. I was just gonna go in with some fine abrasive paper and polishing compound but seems like a lot of work. Especially on an fz07 where the headers are welded to the cat converter
I've used #0000 steel wool on a electric drill add some compound and they made it so nice I can see my reflection clearly. It's been about a year and they still look just as good
If the bike is really dirty you will need to scrub a bit. I was able to get the R3 super clean without using a sponge and it had been ridden in the rain a couple times. This was the first time the bike had really been washed since it was new. - Brian Van

Yes totally safe to use on matte plastics on the bike. We used it on the R3 and while cleaning up our sleds for the winter. Good stuff for sure. - Brian Van
Too many unnecessary products and money. Just use a good car shampoo and brushes and rinse off with a hose then dry off with a chamois and follow up with a good body wax. Take your time and you'll have a clean machine!
Like anything there is always another way. That said I feel we did a good job with this project. Car wash soap will not get your chain cleaned lubed nor will it get all the heavy dirt and grime off the wheels. - Van
@@sportbiketrackgear the title is "how to clean your motorcycle" not "how to lube your chain". That would be a part of everyday maintainance, and while it's not unrelated its not the title subject of the video!...plus, I have no trouble getting wheel grime off using a good car shampoo and a brush/Mitt! ( I did say a 'Good' Car shampoo!)
If you take proper care of your bike you need a chain clean kit as well as other cleaners for other areas of the bike. No one world order conspiracy here man, just showing you what we do to keep our bikes clean. - Van
