Interesting video, but I'm always smoking my tobaccos right down to the very end ... for 32 years already. You're moving a cleaner from the stem through the shank into the chamber and back? 😳 You'd better avoid that since you'll be moving dirt from the shank into the stem and vv. Once I'm done with smoking, I'm getting rid of the ashes. Then it's time to pit off the stem. I'm cleaning the stem with a pipe cleaner, sometimes using lemon juice concentrate if there is too much dirt inside. After this, I'm cleaning up the shank with another pipe cleaner. Often there us much more dirt than in the stem (especially when using filters). If it's too diety, I'm also using lemon juice concentrate to clean it up. Once this is done, I'm carefully wiping away the ashes inside the bowl. Cheers Lars
Great video, especially to serve as a reminder for me to clean out the pipe after each smoking session, something I don't do often enough. But, I gotta say, I typically smoke the bowl's contents all the way down to the end. It looks as if Mr. Smith has emptied out a fair amount of usable tobacco, which just seems wasteful...unless I'm missing something.
I have read to dip your pipe cleaner in a drinking alcohol like Jack Daniel’s or vodka and do the same cleaning method you used today, is that good to do?
I use yogic breathing techniques to clean the airways. Plus as previous commenter says, one does not inhale into the lungs. I found pipe smoking actually has helped immensely remove mucus and dry crust from my nose
