I’ve used a sigg bottle cleaning tablet for the tatonka silvery burner, but I suppose it can work for that as well. Place the burner in a glass bowl and add warm water. Place half a tablet inside and half outside the burner. Repeat if needed. You can scrub the parts you can scrub and use the tablet just for those nooks and crannies. Cheers

What I found to be the best for removing all that black crud is, Lidyl all purpose thinners, you have to get a couple of tins when it is in stock because they don't get it in that often, all that just falls off using a cloth or you can use a toothbrush. I will be putting a video up very soon around the end of March 2018 to show you how good it is, just my opinion. WARNING Don't over tighten the lid as this is what causes it to split, even quicker if you put it on warm, as it creates a vacume

I’d be a little more cautious and use a wood or bamboo toothpick or skewer to clean the jet holes. It would be safer to use something softer than the metal.

Im gonna give this a go later, mines in need of a good clean, you can see in my latest vid that the flame is constantly orange, cheers for the tip.......johny ....ps.coat a cotton wool ball in vaseline and drop it in the burner, let it soak the fuel, then top it up, you will at least double youre burn time

I have some white vinegar in the house, i will put it in a vinegar bath over night and see if it improves it further. It will be it the next video so we can all see how it went :)

You can get cleaning brushes for Oxy Accetalin jets. Might work on Trangia jets as well. Worth a try if blocked jets are an issue.

I’ve got a tip for you Mix some sugar and washing up liquid Together and scrub with your toothbrush it should be like a paste

I have a tool from the HVAC field..it's perfect for cleaning out orifices like those on the tangia.

could try some amonia, (couple of tablespoonfuls ) in plastic bag, put burner in, tie up bag, leave overnight.

A drop of Brasso also brings it back to life.

I wonder how well vinegar would work to clean one.

I use Bio Ethenol in my trangia instead of meths, its cleaner and cheaper.

Oven cleaner works for me, although God only knows what you've been burning in that thing... Diesel? ;o)
