How To Clean a Yamaha Ribbon Strip (YC30) 

I love my YC30 and it's ribbon works perfectly, but I know someday I will need to clean it. My First YC30 ribbon barely worked at all. Thanks for the video.

Great video. To avoid bending the comb, I would use a plastic razor blade to get under instead of a screwdriver. You want something as thin as you can get without being sharp enough to damage the wood or the comb itself, so a regular metal razor blade would not work. The plastic razor blades are thing but not sharp enough to damage anything.

This is a repair I'll never have to worry about or do myself but this video is great. Love Syntaur so much right now...

Hi, it's fantastic demo, but you don't speak about the spring, i have a broke spring in my cs60 and i can't fix beacuse there no way to find a similar spring. Will be great a 2 part to show us the spring and how you can replace it. Many thanks great video.

The strip in my CS-60 is nothing like this. It's a spring that runs the length of the strip.

have a question, not sure you can answer. Yamaha AN1X ribbon. it works. BUT, when I touch it it will got from 0 to full starting at the mid point, and then to zero when I let go. currently I have the CC set to a controller so if I DO touch it, I can just set it back with that. is it possibly broken, or do I need to set the trim pots inside? side note. for all the patches it does the same thing. even on an INIT patch, it will shut the volume down. so im not sure what's going there. it seems like its hooked up to volume, and I cant find how to unassigned the ribbon from other patches so I can do some proper testing. any insight you could offer would be much appreciated. I LOVE this thing, and would like to get that ribbon adjusted or fixed. thanks in advance.
