I think you need comet, Ajax, dawn dish soap, disinfectant wipes, vinegar, Lysol, microfiber towels. Add a squeegee and canned glass cleaner for a more effective cleaning of the mirror. This is a decent informative video. However, I strongly suggest adding more disinfectants. It’s okay to be more efficient with cleanings (top to bottom/left to right) but never skimp out on disinfecting.

nice video. i've been doing this a long time too, i work as a housekeeper/supervisor, i work in the same order as you do, but i spray my chemicals in the bathroom, and while the chemical work for me as oppose to me working for it, i go ahead and fold towels, hand towels, wash cloths in designs, i think guests feels more appreciated when they see that, then i make my beds creatively, i havent seen my styles anywhere and guests told me they love my beds, i make towel animals too, my favorite is the crab design, then i clean my bathroom etc, dirt doesnt like me because i see them anywhere, wether it floor skirting, doors, fans, light figures, under bed, blinds,behind stove/refridgerator etc...i dont clean this deeply all the time but its a way to break the dirt built up cycle. i keep telling my ladies dont wash sheets with towel for the same reason as you, but they are lazy, i may have to replace them with someone who listens. i give towels/wash cloths a longer wash since guests do all manner of evil with them, and sheets not so much.
I love the way you folded the sheets! So nice and neat! However if I ever clean one of our STRs I just wash the linens on the bed and put them back on the beds. Saves me the step of having to fold the sheets.
I have new flooring- some say vinegar strips it- not sure what to use.... Would a dash of the lemon juice you can buy in a bottle at grocery- add a nice lemon smell to your general cleaner?
@@h.p.6455 I actually don't use that cleaner on floors. Especially hardwood or any with a finish coat. I still use old school Murphys Oil Soap to clean hardwood and luxury vinyl tile flooring. Don't use it on stone tile floors though.
I really wish every guest was as good as these.. sometimes they completely trash the home and it takes much longer to clean everywhere.. I pray for easier airbnb jobs like this one.. 👍

Oh yeah, some people are absolute animals. I saw a lot of comments about using more chemicals, and basically the dirtier the guests, the harsher the chemicals we use.
I cleaned the beachfront rental last week talk about a nightmare, and they paid a pretty penny for this property. You think they would shake out the damn beach towels instead of putting a pound of sand in the brand new dryer morons!
I am sorry, I have got an Airbnb and I clean it on my own ......this is not good enough, we always wash the beddings on high temp and long programes, I vacume everywhere before moping the floors etc....
I enjoyed the video . I like to see how others clean their air bnb see if I can find new tips in cleaning. We did some things differently but all is good. My place I take care of is a bit of hassle it's near a beach and gets lots of sand in the showers and have a two story.

So you can put tinfoil in the bottom of the oven?! That is a great trick! I wonder if you change it every time- ? Also like the non toxic cleaner you use.... It doesn't leave a soap residue?

A couple issues with this. If you are doing laundry on site you are losing money. You need back up linens and partner with a laundromat. Next, if you have an oven with no visible heating element, you CANNOT put foil on the oven floor.
Definitely a case by case situation. This unit is one of our smallest. Typically we ran a wash load while cleaning and were able to finish by the time the house was cleaned. But we actually transitioned to doing all the laundry off site about a year after this.
i couldn't believe my eyes and this is during the pandemic...as a host/cleaner i bleach all hard surfaces and linens/sheets, along with aerosol disinfectant of stripped bed/pillows/couch/accent chairs i.e. any and everything as I don't want to pick up any germs...i was waiting post dawn/water treatment for the disinfectant phase
The guy's towels are so thick, they take nearly two hours to dry. Then I've gotta do the beds!! I had to take the laundry home today because the washer was broken, but my parents don't want me bringing them back. Two houses, three bathrooms, three bedrooms....help me!! I've only got four hours to clean both.
It’s really a tricky part of the business we struggled with for a long time. At the early stages it was manageable, but as things grow, it’s not sustainable or really ethical to make your employees or contractors do more work from home. Practically/pragmatically and just honestly, that is how we ran our business at the beginning, but ultimately made the transition to have a full-time laundry person who could handle all laundry at a single facility. Maintaining multiple Airbnbs can really create logistical nightmare and you will have to find creative ways to handle all the problems that come up. One thing I will say to any newcomer is MAKE SURE THE HOMEOWNERS HAVE PURCHASED AND MAINTAIN MULTIPLE SHEETS, TOWELS AND BACKUP LINENS on the property at all times. You will need them
for sure good point. They decided to do it that way, i guess overall our relationship is good enough that they are comfortable with it. You know more than me about the cleaning side for sure.
I am solo cleaner. I try and not use so many throw away cleaning items such as paper towels. The only things i use paper towels on are toilets and buffing stainless steel. I've discovered towels that just use water to clean any glass surface. I use blue rags in the bathroom and white ones in the kitchen that I take home and wash..stop filling out landfills with trash when you don't have to.
Not to worry, paper towels decompose! They are typically made from organic materials: water, wood, and pulp, which are able to decompose under most circumstances.
They are out there. If you can find an Airbnb property manager, they are always looking for cleaners. Try googling your local area/city + “airbnb property management.” I suppose you could also track them down through the Airbnb app somehow, but we never did that.
Oh hell no😂😂😂no wonder why cleanliness is always on my reviews. I clean like a lady from an island. When cleaning my toile water goes on the floor, thats how much water goes on my toilet. Not to mention my main rental has 12 beds, 3.5 bath
on the surface this is a lovely place... is he and many of the commenters praising him unaware of Airbnb enhanced covid19 cleaning requirements: i checked the date before commenting, this video is dated October 2021, yep we're still in the midst of pandemic...maybe this video is for comedic relief I hope...where's the bleach etc....
I’m not sure what you mean. I literally mention “surfaces” as a top priority at the beginning of the video. That means we sanitize EEvvveerrYYYTHHHiiinnngg. Light switches, door handles, countertops. We use bleach on toilets and bathroom surfaces, but cleaning every surface with bleach is not practical for maintaining the furniture and surfaces in the house. Dawn soap our favorite surface cleaner because it’s effective but gentle. We use other chemicals for harder bathroom, sinks, etc.
This is the WORST cleaning video I have EVER seen. I have a friend with multiple AirBnB's and they SANITIZE every surface. EVERY TILE is scrubbed, you forgot to wash the mattress protector, you only did "minimal" cleaning. That's HORRID. Did you put the pillows in the dryer to kill germs? This is AWFUL.
