My step-by-step process on how I clean my All-on-4 dental implants. First, I brush. Then, I floss. Next, I use a water flosser to clear out any trapped food particles and debris. Last, I use mouth wash to keep it fresh and kill bacteria.

I don’t want to repeat but everyone is complaining about cleaning? Do you wipe your butt? Do you shower? I cleaned my teeth and I still have to remove all of it due to various reason But learning to clean should already be a routine. Just more step. For a beautiful smile and being able to eat majority of the food out there. I’ll take the time and cleaning procedures and pay for it to get clean once or twice a year.

Getting my all on 4 in 2 days. This video was helpful and also - you are the first video I've seen where your speech is awesome. Everyone else I've seen has a lisp / or talks in a way that looks unnatural. I'm not sure how to explain it but just watching them talk and I can see right away they have implants. This gives me hope! I'm hoping I can speak normally in time, and people won't notice like I have been in almost every video I watch.

Kalin, thank you for sharing your routine! I have been watching you for years now and you are amazing! I felt like I was the only 30-year-old in the world going through this until I found you! Thank God I did! Thank you for your positivity and everything you do! You definitely gave me and so many others hope. I had my surgery in October and it was the best decision I’ve ever made. I got an “implant fixed zirconia bridge” on my top. I do need the bottom done also to but can’t afford it at the moment. I didn’t want to come out of the house, work or do anything at all because of the shame that I felt. It was ruining me as a person.

Hi Kristi,Thank you for this video.Now I am.a bit worried.I was told to use a electric tooth brush and a toddler toothbrush on my gums were the upper has the bar to snap on.I use Dr B Cleanadent denture and implant tooth paste.And I soak them every other day with stain away I soak my top.I have a hybrid on lower.I use my water pic 2 × a day Super Floss Oral B.I lost 3 implant post on my top from a oral surgeon mistake.And caused 3 post to become infected and needed to be removed. I have to use Clorahexadine mouth rinse for 7 days straight once a month.Just for precautionary. I use Crest mouth wash.I lost all.the work i had done 15yrs ago."Check those Prostodonist out" And " The oral surgeon " $75,000 out the window.They put a post up into my sinus cavity and they stayed infected from constant sinus infections.I am on my 2nd journey of a new Hybrid and a new overdenture with bone grafting were I lost my 3 implant post Thank goodness I found your Videos a few years back.I now have "Ivaclar Vivadent and they are gorgeous.My new Prostodonist took a photo when I was 14yrs old of my natural teeth they look just like my photo.I am concerned about the electric tooth brush maybe to hard on the bristles.Do you suggest the manual tooth brush that is softer than my Sonicare.Lol.. We will.never pay our house off as my husband has remortgaged it twice.First dental journey $75 ,000 and now my second time around $50.000 plus $7500.for a periodontist to remove the implants in my sinus cavity.So I intend to keep this "Lamborghini " in my mouth absolutely spotless.If I had not seen your videos I would never known about Ivaclar Vivadent".Oh......I had a back up set of my upper.....I would freak.if my upper broke over the weekend or any day.I.had to have a back up.I alternate them every 2 days to keep them from wearing down.One more last item........my new Prostodonist made a Mouthguard for me to wear at night so I wont grind my back teeth down Very important I think.Have a good week and many thanks for all you do for us who have had bad teeth.😊

I had surgery 3 months ago so I am still in the healing stages. I have all on 5 however I am delayed in getting my upper placed because I need to heal. I should get it on January 20th. My process is to use a water pick first and thoroughly get under the prosthesis. Then I brush with a soft bristle brush with toothpaste making sure to get in every nook and cranny hahaha. I make sure to clean my tongue and the inside of my cheeks. I have only dabbled in the flossing. I think I still have some swelling in the gums so I have to be very careful. I am so surprised I think that the food sticks so much more than on natural teeth. Sometimes I use the water pick in the shower since I make such a mess! Great video!

The only way I could get a loan for the amount for my "all on 5" I had to have 1 extra, was a 2nd mortgage. When you do the mortgage your can lengthen the amount of time for payoff and the payment is a lower amount. It is the only way I could have done it. But I am very glad I did it.

Great video! I do it a little bit differently. I start off flossing with a Waterpik water flosser. It holds a lot of water but I like the one that you’re using as well. The Waterpik gets out most of the food particles from the get-go. After that, I brush my teeth and I use an electric toothbrush. I was never told to use a specific toothpaste but I may try using the Sensodyne. And lastly I do the flossing but it is very challenging even though I use the exact same super flosser that you do. Sometimes I put a little bit of mouthwash into the Waterpik. I’m a little nervous about using it too often because sometimes they can stain. I have the Prettau Zirconia.

I only have 4 implants with a hybrid bridge in the front upper front teeth. I asked my prostodontist how they looked and he said "keep doing what ever your doing" so my routine is a little different .First I used to use an extra soft toothbrush now I have one from Ebay a "Wimolek" it's very soft almost velvet like texture. Same sort of water flosser as you, they can travel with you. Instead of mouth wash I like pink Himalayan salt dissolved in purified water. Salt is a natural disinfectant. I'd only add to draw the mouth wash throughout and under the bridges by sloshing under the bridge or bridges. I never go to sleep without water flossing, implants are a big investment and you can never forget that no matter how tired.

I went with the removable implant retained overdenture versus the permanent like Kalinjax because it's easier to clean and half the price. She had irritated gums at her checkup which is the downside to permanent. Cleanings are expensive and if you don't clean properly, you could lose an implant..

Hi Misty, the cost is outrageous. I’m 58 and reside in NJ. I was quoted $29,000 for one arch. Thank goodness I started saving money 5 years prior. It was cheaper to get both done at once. They gave me 5% off for paying all at once. I had to pay $4000.00 for my anesthesiologist. Best money I ever spent. I had good jawbone mass, no grafting needed. I got to write off out of pocket expenses on my taxes. It’s horrible the cost is so high . I still have 15,000 to pay off.

@@lindamathews4367 I just saw your reply. I have 4 implants in bottom and 6 on top. I have a titanium bar that goes across and connects all the implants in the bottom now. The upper bridge will be done as soon as the bar us ready. The titanium bars are milled as one piece so are very strong. My denture is fitted with snaps and they snap on to the bar. I can take them in and out and give them a good clean. The upper denture will not have the palate part. I like this system because it is strong and easy to clean. I use a proxy/interdental brush under the bar around each implant. Then I brush the the front and backs of the implants and brush the top of the bar where the screws are. This system turns out the same as Kalinjax who has a bar that connects her implants just her bar are the actual denture,. Whereas my bar is titanium with snaps. And I can remove the teeth and give deep clean. Having had severe periodontal disease that ate away at most of my bone I am very paranoid about being able to clean properly. People with my system have cleanings every 6 months or once a year depending how good a job they do with the cleaning. Also do not be confused with the regular snap on dentures with mine. My dentures snap onto a permanent fixed bar. The snap ons that most people talk about do not have a bar, but instead they snap directly in to the implant. Hth.

Hi, so I just got my top dental implants temps this morning, I have to wear them for 2 weeks, they feel great, no pain, but I have 2 issues, for one they make my mouth poke out more, and for two the piece up in the roof of my mouth is annoying, I told my dentist before I left my issues, he said that when I come back for my final implants, he would make the adjustments, I'm trying not to think about it but it's really annoying feels like a foreign object😩😩

Great video. I have All on 4 Maxilla only, doing mandible in 3 weeks. My oral surgeon tells me to only use a waterpik unlike other dentist recommendations.You asked about that. I have much bone loss and very nervous doing the lower Jaw because of potential Alveolar nerve damage possibly causing permanent numbness and tingling. Did you have any numbness for more than a few days? Mahalo from Maui, Joe

I've had my permanent Zirconia bridges in for two months now. I have 5 upper implants and 4 lowers. I really struggle to get Super Floss under the front of either. I can pull it underneath from the molars at the back, but it's really tricky otherwise. I'm pretty obsessive with my Waterpik though and I think I'm blasting out everything under there. I use a 50/50 mix of water and Crest Intense mouthwash. When I had my temps taken off, the hygienist commented on how clean they were underneath, despite being in for nearly 6 months, but the gum to prosthetic gap was bigger with my temps. I wonder if there is a technique to getting the strand under the front of my bridges....

I loved your video. Thank you so much for being brave enough to do that. I have had all on 4 down to my lower jaw only 3 weeks ago. I am still nervous but your video has given me confidence. I still have a plate in the top as I don’t have enough bone. But maybe I will address that in the future. Can I ask how long it took for you to enjoy chewing food again? I am still on liquids and mash. Thank you again and I have saved this video to watch again.

Thank you!!!!! I got the all on eight which is all on 7 on the top because one implant failed and the 8 on 2 on the bottom. It took four hours to do the bottom....possibly the floss is defective and the owner of the company is sending me replacement floss and a prototype to load it into the upper and lower gums. BUT today is terrible. My biggest fear is that my gums would feel itchy and fuzzy and they totally do. The bottoms not so bad because I got the floss under finally. I cant get a single floss on the uppers and coming in from the back seems impossible....but neither have worked. Im going to try getting the floss that you have. Also I was told that food can get stuck under the snap ons but not the permanent ones....BS. I lost a pill last night that went under the gum along with alot of food. Tonight I am back to onion buillon and egg drop soup (from my own chickens....not the tortured ones you get from the store) and lentil soup with rice. I am just dying for a salad that I have not eaten for over a year. Granted as soon as I got home from the dentist I hit a huge bag of pistachios and a pizza which was not the smartest decision and gave the rest of the pizza to the dogs. My friend wants the same procedure but with all the trouble I am having problems okaying it. Do you have any suggestions on how I can clean under the top? I am thinking pipe cleaners because I am desperate.

Great Video! I am curious, but during the process of evaluating what you were going to go with on top of your Implants...did you ever consider the Removable Type that the Patient can remove themselves?? I think that they might be called Snap-Ins.

Just a suggestion dip the fuzzy section of the super floss into Listerine before you floss so you can kill some of the bacteria under your dentures. Great demonstration

Hi I came up on you post. I think your smile is great. I’m trying to look into getting some permanent dentures. Can you kind of explain the cost of the whole process? I get no help from dentists here in San Diego were I live
@swong1668
@swong1668 10 месяцев назад
Go to Poway Dental Arts in San Diego. They do 3 on 6 implants. You keep your own bone and gums, just like natural teeth. It’s way better than all-on-4 or all-on-x which it requires to shave off your healthy bone and gums
@therese6772

Hi Kalinjax. Thank you so much for helping me understand the process. I had the temporary's put in a month ago and it will be a while before I can get the permanents 5 months maybe. I can begin flossing next week and I'll be getting right on it. I do have a question though. I find that my speech is impaired a little do to the ridges behind the teeth and having to find a way to talk more naturally. I understand that comes with time. Perhaps it is also due to the difference between temporary dentures and permanent ones. But I would like to ask you how long it took you to get used to talking more naturally with these implants. Thank you again for sharing your experience it is very assuring.

I watched you a year ago before I got implants. I do everything you say, and I use my waterpik at least 3-4 times a day. I have a portable waterpik and I love it. It has a metal tube into the water tank. I have a question. I am using the same floss and now I have parts of the soft piece of the floss stuck on my lower and just yesterday I got a piece stuck in my upper. How to get that out? I have tried flossing and the waterpik but man it's stuck. Any suggestions? AND I now talk with a lisp, I feel like I have a huge caramel stuck on the roof of my mouth towards the front of my teeth. Keep tellin my prosthodontist but he says he can't understand why and maybe I should take speech therapy? Did you experience any of that?

How long after your all on 4 surgery do you start using the floss? I had my surgery about a month ago, so I'm not sure if the surgery area, which I can not see, is completely healed yet, so I'm kinda freaked out to do the threading on the gums at this point.

I have All-on-4, top and bottom, and my 7-year-old daughter always asks how I brush my teeth in an up-and-down motion like I do (which is slightly aggressive lol)…the liberty’s of your teeth being attached to fake gums. I brush in every direction a bunch of times - up, down, back, forth, and in circles. I end up loading the toothbrush a bunch of times, as well. I do have a question, well a few of them - Did your gums stay sensitive around the implants 2/3 months in? Did you ever experience faint toothache like pains 2/3 months in, typically later in the day? Do you smoke?

I can't get at my All on 6 implants(my oral surgeon said he had time to do the extra ones) with floss because my fingers are too large. I did finally find a video to a RU-vid video that has a special implant nozzle for full implants. (www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08RK4XSNF/ref=ox_sc_saved_title_1?smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER&psc=1 ) At least with this I can direct water with a little mint Listerine, under everything to at least kill any bacteria I may have missed without flossing. There are others that have more tips per pack for less money, this is the exact part number though. This has the candy cane tip to loop under the edges and it the only thing I've been able to use to clear out under the prosthetics. Your speech is pretty good with it, mine not as good. I have a heavy ridge on my inside upper that I'll be addressing with my dentist in 2 weeks. I'm not happy about it.

It was actually the opposite for me. Too much space in the beginning but tissue fills in over time. My first set did have to be modified at one point to allow for floss to pass in an area. I also had to have a tissue reduction in one spot.
